The guide gave us a very good explanation of the plight of the South African penguin. Of course, the highlight was to actually see the penguins. We were able to watch them being fed by some of the employees and volunteers. South African penguins are wonderful creatures who are in great danger. There is a tea room on site, however, we did not make use of it so I cannot rate that particular part of the experience. The main room looks like it is set up to accommodate school groups. I highly recommend SAMREC.
