Stayed 6 nights. Historic hotel but was spotless. Great staff. Best steak you will ever eat (take my word for it).
Had a great time singing Karaoke in the bar, fabulous well priced meals, and excellent wait staff.
Within 5 minute drive to Kings Beach and Hobie Beach which is a major plus.
Overall an excellent stay :)

The Cantina Restaurant of the Phoenix Hotel are renowned for their super value lunches. The abundant 60's memorabilia create a unique pleasant atmosphere. Try a fortaste at http://www.phoenixhotel.co.za/

The first time I visited this hotel/restaurant was in 1976 I had a great 1/2 kilo T bone steak and it was like steaks use to be, succulent and tasty!
My wife and I went back in March 2010 and the place is still as charming, great steaks, great tyger prawns for prices you can not find anywhere in the UK. The restaurant was packed but we were soon given a nice table. The place is very unique as the ceilings and walls are full of memorabilia, like bicycles and car number-plates.
We talked to the owner and the waitress who were surprised that I was there 34 years before, and made the efford to go back even after a 15 hour flight from Sydney via Jo'burg.
I say Phoenix Hotel/Restaurant keep it up, We'll be back one day!!‎ Thank you Stormin' Norman & staff.
