Booked this overnight Safari experience having seen other reviews. It was exceptional value. Started with an afternoon/early evening jeep tour with George (the best Safari guide you could ever wish for) . Then a good dinner with fellow guests and we were off again for a night tour of the park. George got us to all the best areas and we saw lions, hippos, rhinos, giraffe etc. etc. We then retired to our family room in the middle of the park and had the best nights sleep of the entire holiday. Excellent facilities, shower etc. all very comfortable when you consider you are in the middle of a safari park. George was back 7am the next morning to take us on another 2 hour drive during which we saw lions devouring their own freshly caught breakfact. aweseome! Finally a good breakfast before being driven back to the car compound. Exceptional value and the highlight of our trip. Cannot recommend this adventure enough. Agree with other comments that you don't need to do the nearby Aldo Park unless you want to see elephants - Everything else Schotia has and more - I don't think it can be beaten.

Thought I'd written a review but it's not on here...not sure what happened so...better late than never! Loved every minute of it. Its a photographer's dream. Staff great...lovely guide...think it was Carl. Went out of his way...time seemed no object! Was upgraded into an amazing cottage, Carl didn't drop me off until almost midnight, he lit my fire, went...and I was the only person staying there.
Am going back...this time with my husband...I only wish I could afford the same accommodation!

The drives (day and night) around the game reserve were unforgettable; so many wild animals up close and personal. The professionalism and background knowledge of our driver/guide, Carl, made it a truly memorable experience. We enjoyed our two nights in one of the themed bush lodges and could hear the lions roaring nearby! Meals in the open air lapa were fun and enjoyable. Overall, a great experience - thoroughly recommended.

We stayed at Schotia for 2 Nights in November 2011.
It was recommneded to us by friends and we will be doing the same.
The safari is all inclusive apart from alcohol (which is sold onsite and inexpensive).
We stayed in the Orlando rooms which were perfectly adequate for what we required.
We had 7 safari drives over 2 days including a visit to Addo Elephant Park, 2 night drives and 2 early morning drives.
Our guide George was excellent & very knowledgable and always knew the best viewing spots and where all the action was.
The food was good home cooking and we sampled many of the animals we could view on the Safari, from Springbok to Kudu.
This Safari has got to be the best value for money in the area, as many of the others are at least double or triple the price.

Everyone helpful from pick-up at airport to 6 am drop-off two days later. Great mixture of drives including night drives; on one seeing a lion kill and a 6 week old lion cub. Package included trip to Addo and elephants. Saw 3 of big 5 (rhinos no. 3)

Ranger, George, excellent with incredible knowledge and worked hard to get us as many sightings as possible. A family affair with all staff multi-tasking makes it very personal.

Food very good. Stayed in honeymoon roundel - wonderful to hear lions roaring at night and birds first thing in the morning. Sight of the 3-year old lion brothers lying in the sun within feet of our truck was a highlight that remains with us. Fantastic photo opportunities. Thank you Schotia!
