On a family holiday and headed for Cape Town, we found Ibhayi Guest Lodge perfect for a one night’s stay, even though it is obviously geared for conferences and company workshops. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms comfortable with a fully stocked mini bar. All the usual luxuries were available- including free WiFi. There is a swimming pool available but, with the prevalent wind which PE is so well known for, it needed a clean. We made use of the restaurant on-site for dinner which was really good - and they kindly prepared a breakfast pack for us which we collected on departure the next day. Would happily recommend this guest lodge to anyone planning a short stay.

Room Tip: All three we used were pretty good

Thanks for the great review! Glad you stayed with us on your way down the coast. You're right, with the conference rooms on site, and the central location of Ibhayi, we're fortunate to have a lot of corporate guests staying with us. But we also love having guests on holiday - always very inspiring! - and try to make sure that we can make Ibhayi a place for everyone's needs. So it's lovely to hear that you enjoyed your short stop at Ibhayi. Hope you had a wonderful time in Cape Town. Best wishes from the Bailey family and the Ibhayi team.

We stayed one night after a 12 hour flight before setting off on safari. It was so much better than being in one of the chain hotels. The staff are very helpful, the rooms are spacious, the gardens are lovely and it is in a nice location. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and the food is really very good and great value. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

What a great review - thank you for staying with us and taking the time to write a review. It's great when our guests love the same things we do about Ibhayi - the gardens and the restaurant make all the difference. Hope the rest of your trip was superb and that we can welcome you back home to Ibhayi sometime. Best wishes from all of us at Ibhayi.

The room is spacious and very welcoming. Great and very professional service. Breakfast was delicious and the dining room is amazingly renovated. Best location of course. I really enjoyed my stay there.

We stayed one night on May 9th,2012. We had a very good breakfast, the chef made an effort to provide us a vegetarian dish.

While leaving we inadvertently forgot our iPhone at the lodge and then travelled onwards on the garden route to Storms river mouth. We discovered that our phone was not with us 200 km later. Haley and Jackie at the lodge, had kept the phone with them and ensured that they responded to our call.

With the help of our agent Madelyn at Cedarberg travels, they couriered it to our destination at Cape Town. We would like to thank all at the lodge for making the effort.

Thank you for staying with us, and thank you for taking the trouble to post a review. It's always good to be able to help, and we're very glad to have been able to reunite you with your phone. If you're anything like us, quite a lot of your life is on that little piece of technology, especially when you're travelling, and it's not nice to be without it. Hope the rest of your journey was relaxing and rejuvenating. Hope to welcome you back to our corner of the world sometime soon. Best wishes from Hayley and the Ibhayi Team

I organized and facilitated a 5-day workshop at Ibhayi in May 2012 and had the best conference experience ever. From the first enquiry to the follow-up afterwards, I felt like a much valued customer. Hayley went out of her way to ensure that we were comfortable and happy and Eunice was an absolute star! There were too many examples of 'going the extra mile' to list, but every small detail contributed to the facilitators and delegates having a wonderful experience of extraordinary customer care. And the food was great!!
Ibhayi, thank you for providing us with a high quality service at a very reasonable price.

I am writing this review on behalf of Port Elizabeth Down Syndrome Association. We had had several events at Ibhayi Guest Lodge since September 2011, from workshops for co-ordinators and parents, to the launch of a support group for teenagers, to a get-together for them, to a braai for our teens and their parents. The staff excelled at each and every one of these events, bending backwards to meet our demands, which not always have been that easy! Keep it up and we are looking forward to our next function, the formal sit down dinner just before Christmas. See you in the new year for even more! Wilna Gates - Administrator

Ibhayi is a lovely place to stay while visiting PE. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, making ones stay very comfortable. One feels part of the family.
If I need anything, they are more than happy to help out and assist where necessary.
The rooms are lovely and spacious. Very clean! Especially the linen. Massive beds!
I can highly recommend any Ibhayi to any traveller :-)
