“Comfortable stay @plettenberg bay”

Located near Robberg and at a 5 minute drive from the town center, Whale Rock Guest House is a great pick. Lelani owns the place and she offers this nice B&B with two spacious rooms. Our room was very comfortable, well furnitured and spotless. The shared living area has a dining table, tv/radio, couches and a balcony with a table and distant sea view. There is a kitchen but it doesn't have stove or sink, in our opinion this would be a nice addition. The breakfast was excellent. If you need information or a booking for whatever you want...just ask Lelani. She is also a wedding planner so she gets things arranged and in no time. I highly recommend this place.

What a wonderful week we (with my best friends from the UK) spent at Whale Rock Guest House. We couldn't have wished for more - the welcome we received - even though Lelani and her family were away in Cape Town - was so muchmore than we expected. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and I had the privilege of staying in the Four Poster bedroom - such luxury, and always a beautiful view to wake up to. Fresh, tasty breakfasts served on the patio every morning, what a great start to the day, which was planned so easily as so much information was available. I would happily recommend Whale Rock Guest House to anyone wanting a luxurious stay in Plettenberg Bay. Thanks to Lelani and her very pleasant and efficient staff. Great stay. Thanks again.

Room Tip: Both rooms are beautiful, although the Four Poster bed is a bit higher and may require a bit of a cl...

My husband and myself from the UK and our best friend from Johannesburg, spent a perfect week at Whale Rock House in October 2013 splendidly looked after by Lelani van Rooyen, her family and staff, who welcomed us like friends, not strangers.
The accommodation was second to none, the breakfasts delicious and the information about places of interest in the area, including booking a boat trip for whale, seal and dolphin viewing on our behalf and the best places to eat, was most helpful.
Having two double bedrooms with an interconnecting lounge was perfect for our party and felt we had our own private pace in their lovely home.
We will definitely recommend Whale Rock House to family, friends and acquaintances and will be back ourselves as soon as possible.

Room Tip: Either Four Poster or Honeymoon suite perfect for couples or single occupancy.

On our second trip to ZA (Plett) we spent another couple of nights at the lovely whale rock lodge. We really most appreciated the clean, beautifully decorated and tasteful room, the nice and healthy prepared breakfast on the balcony, with discreet music on the background. If you get up early in the morning you can soak up a terrific sunrise on the balcony and with a bit of luck see a school of dolphins - down the beach, only 5 minutes walking distance. Furthermore, we wouldn't miss the interesting talks we had with Lelani and Wayne and are so grateful for their support in helping us to optimize our trip through ZA. GREAT!!!
We recommend this wonderful lodge to anybody who likes a breeze of luxury with most lovely host.

My husband and I stayed at Whale Rock for 2 nights in mid Feb 2013 and had such a lovely time there! We truly were hosted like we were known by the couple who own the place. We had ultimate comfort and loved staying in the Honeymoon suite. From the shower to the bed to the guest lounge, everything was perfect. It felt like a home away from home. Breakfast was served on the balcony and was such a treat! Lelani was amazing and even contacted Monkeyland for us to find out about opening and tour times. It's a short drive to Central beach but there are 2 more private beaches very close by. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Room Tip: The honeymoon suite is perfect!

IMAGINE - From : "Portrait of Plettenberg Bay" by Patricia Storrar. Imagine......... Being part of the sea, sweeping white beaches. Calm lagoons and gentle green hills, all set against the backdrop of the Tsitsikama mountains. Dramatic and unique, something which makes a swift and lasting impact on the senses. Those who have grown to savor the Bay in all its moods, from mornings that dawn clear as a sparkling mirror to nights raging with the fury of a westerly gale. Never tire of it. The ever changing light presents several times a day vistas of such exquisite loveliness that each sense might be newly created. But there is so much more to Plettenberg Bay than the mere Arcadian beauty. The entire Bitou area is rich in history that everywhere one goes - on the dunes or in the kloofs, on the coastal hills or deep in the forests, beside lipid pools or in the caves. Ancient beyond comprehension - one is walking on paths worn smoothly. ... more   less
