The Plettenburg Hotel is an excellent hotel in a beautiful location, with amazing views across the bay. The hotel is tastefully decorated and very well maintained. It's helpful and friendly staff are immaculate in their appearance and they provide a first class service.
We had a large seaview room, which was worth every penny; the room was spacious and modern and the bathroom was luxurious with larger than average good quality towels.
Small criticisms: wifi coverage could be better and the water pressure was a little low.

The Plettenberg was our last stop in South Africa - and what a perfect way to end. The staff are excellent; friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The management team are also keen to check that all is well -and do this personally. The food and wine are 10/10 and we were fortunate to be there for the monthly wine tasting. The wine and food are matched to perfection -go to this event if you are able to.
We will certainly be returning on our next trip to SA.

My wife & I stay there for three nights having stayed in her sister hotel in Constantis several years ago. The location is excellent close to the ocean, really quiet with high standard room, exemplary service and wonderful food.
Having a pre dinner drink outside on the terrace was an absolute delight.
This is one of the very best small hotels that I have stayed in.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a sea view, and I preferred the upper floor. Note, I did not use the Spa or fit...

This is an amazing boutique hotel for the discerning world traveller. The staff are wonderful and the service truly fantastic.Johan was thoroughly professional and a great help. The feeling was being in a wonderful house rather than a hotel, with a lovely decor and very thoughtful selection of interiors.

Room Tip: The suite was perfect with a picture postcard view of the sea and Bay!!

This was an excellent stay at "The Plettenberg". We enjoyed very much the friendlyness of the staff. The Food - we had a Seafood-Platter - was one of the best we ever had so far. The location is great, swimming in the Swimming Pool with that excellent view to the Sea - just WOW ......... The view out of our Room was beautiful.

My wife and i stayed three nights in September, as part of our first visit to South Africa. The hotel is located in a quiet area of Plettenburg. It has splendid ocean views from many parts of this well run hotel. All of the staff are friendly and courteous. Our room was comfortable with all the amenities expecyted of a four star hotel. The breakfast and evening meal menus and standard of food was excellent. It was good to see that the hotel had unobtrusive security guards placed outside the hotel. The whole expierience was brilliant and i cannot rate this hotel highly enough. The hotels management staff are to be congratulated on their wonderful staff and service.

We stayed here for three nights and the first night my partner and I had a wonderful surprise back in our room after a spectacular dinner at their restaurant. We were celebrating 30 years together on this trip to South Africa, and the wonderful people at The Plettenberg showered our room with rose petals, a rose petal heart on the bed with chocolates, a drawn bath with rose petals floating on top, and a bottle of champagne.
The hotel is beautiful and has a spectacular view of the ocean and mountains in the background. We had a room with a great view of the bay and the pool.
Breakfast was a special treat each morning and we ate delicious meals all three nights. The chef is excellent.
The staff was very friendly and helpful and I would go back and stay there again and again.

Room Tip: You must ask for the room with the view of the water.
