Family of 3 (one 8r old) ate here three times on our recent visis to the area. The food is excellent, and I recommend trying the specials. It's also amazingly good value, and extremely friendly. The piano playing outside is perhaps a little loud for our taste, and the piano itself could do with being tuned, but it's a nice touch if jazz type piano is your thing. You can feed the angora goats for free, and the location is excellent for acces to the elephant sanctuary, Tenikwa wildlife and Birds of Eden. There are also some good arts and crafts shops right next door.

Simply one of the best places we ate on our trip for the locationa and value

A very helpful and attentive waiter served us with a delicious lunch from a wide and attractive menu. The pianist played Scot Joplin numbers and ragtime jazz perfectly. This has to be on the visiting list of any tourist to the area. The adjacent pottery studio is worth visiting as well.

Excluding fine dining restaurants, it has been a long time since I have been to a restaurant that has shown such passion for food. The service is above average. If you have a query about the menu, just ask the chef, as he will be there walking around and checking you are ok. We stumbled upon this place for lunch and ordered 2 open sandwiches and a salad. All were exceptional and made with quality ingredients. The Chefs food ideas are out of the norm.. instead of having a bland sandwich with cheese and ham, you are choosing options such as crunchy pork belly with apple or butter chicken. The food is inventive and remains at a cheap price. If that hasn't sold you then the setting will. Outside tables, in the sunshine (or shade if you wish) and a piano player playing away in the background! Lucky we found this place after seeing monkey land as it took us a few hours and a few wines before we left!
