“Gone downhill”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2013

Been going to Plett for over a decade and the service on this trip from staff and Management (Jason) was dismal. Pizzas however still good, pity about the staff who just don't seem to care anymore!

“Wow what a winter special!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2013

Ray and I just fancied a quick lunch so we decided on the winter special at Cornutis - thin crust pizza R65 - large Peroni R15!! Stunning we both got our favourite pizzas with our favourite lager, the sun was shining and the ocean looked blue plus the previous manager Jason is back with lots of goodies to offer the locals coming up - so watch out for winter specials. Will definitely recommend to our guests at Bellamanga Country House. Just one thing Cornutis please serve the food on HOT plates it is so much better.

“Cornuti on it's way out?”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2013 via mobile

We've been Cornuti regulars for 2 decades now and have always found the food and view exemplary with passable service, depending on high season or not, and a good ambience to boot. Since April this year, however, the restaurant started becoming worse by the week. One gets the distinct impression that they scale down during the off-season period, which is understandable because Plett's trade is pretty much seasonal, but the feeling we get with Cornuti these days is that there is simply no capital available to buy produce.

Last night, on the eve of the winter school holidays, they had only two red wines available. Both very expensive Pinot Noir (not a personal favourite), and it was not possible to order red wines by the glass, not even house wines. Patrons were forced to order by the bottle.

There was no cucumber and tomato available for the salad, and both main courses we ordered, the Scampi e Basilico and Cartoccio were unavailable because they had no seafood on an already seriously scaled down menu. No seafood? At a seaside restaurant? Unbelievable.

So after having half a bottle of very expensive Pinot Noir, a focaccia, a botlle of mineral water and one salad, we paid the bill of R262 and went somewhere else to eat. I really hope I'm wrong, but I do predict that Cornuti Plett will not be trading much longer at this rate. This saddens us to the core, because this used to be one of Plettenberg Bay's most special spots and wonderful memories were made there.

May Cornuti pick itself up from the ashes and regain its lustre. We are terribly disappointed.

“Quite nice”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 8, 2013

This is a good quality Italian restaurant close to the High Street.

I enjoyed the atmosphere and the quality of the food. However, they seriously lack choices for vegetarians and need to take a fresh look at their menu.
