Description: Nguni Restaurant Nostalgic with an African flair, Nguni is located in one of Plett's oldest buildings - an original dairy dating back over a hundred years. Nguni's African menu is a reflection of traditional selections like Bobotie, game, biltong, springbok, Karoo lamb, ostrich and other local favourites. With its beautiful sunny veranda or eclectic African interior with its original wood-burning stove, the Nguni Girls provide customers with a unique setting and superb menu. A true taste of the Cape!

“Excellent food and service”

We had the most beautiful meal here. It was very quiet in the restaurant but our position by the fire made up for it- the food was excellent ,so simple and tasty_and our waiter was very perceptive of
our needs. Great menu and winelist!

“Great Food & Value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2014

Found on TripAdvisor and I'd highly recommend. Was great food, I had the Filet Steak, at a very reasonable price especially as travelling. The menu authentic South African food, the wine was good and the service/staff were very friendly.

“Authentic South African Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 1, 2014

We’ve got the hint for this restaurant from the owner of the guest house we were staying. It was a very good suggestion! The restaurant is a bit hidden on a small road, so you have to know the way or ask people. There is a tiny entrance nothing spectacular, but when you enter the place a warm cozy atmosphere is welcoming you. The dishes are according to the name of the restaurant mostly traditional South African food. That’s exactly the one we were looking for. If you are a game lover you will certainly find something in the menu. The dishes are well prepared and delicious. The prices are not cheap but resoable for the quality of food. There is a small downside of the location. Since we were there for dinner at night the parking lot is opposite the restaurant and a lot of beggars are drunks are around. But, the staff of the restaurant is aware of this situation and has accompanied us to the car. A very nice courtesy service!!

“Excellent sophisticated SA food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2014

This is a very nice restaurant with excellent away from the main street and smartly presented.
The food was excellent, well cooked and presented, and whilst not a vast menu there was sufficient choice for our needs.
Wines were excellent.
The service was good from a charming and friendly team.
Prices were astonishingly reasonable given the quality.
