“Children fascinated with wild bird experience.”
Reviewed May 9, 2014

The Garden Route offers many tourist attractions and one that really stood out were Radical Raptors. They do interactive flying displays where my children experienced wild birds one-on-one. It was the experience of a lifetime! They couldn't get enough of the birds coming around. What really stood out for me was also the education we got around these magnificent birds. The trainer who presented these birds knows them very well and this made the whole experience very special. We've been here 5-years ago and this time round was just as engaging. Noticeable was the fact that birds were released and that they keep on only to ones that can't survive in the wild.

“Intimate experience with wonderful birds of prey”
Reviewed April 14, 2014

We popped in to Radical Raptors on our way back from the Adventure Land swimming park on the N2 we knew there was bird talk at 1 pm and we had a good lunch at the cafe outside Radical Raptors, the children loved the playground there too. We were the only people at the bird talk and were given gloves so that a barn owl and eagle owl could jump From hand to hand, amazing. We also saw a Jackle Hawk and black eagle! All birds are rescued, injured or donated a great place for a short visit

“A raptor rehab well worth visiting”
Reviewed March 31, 2014

I visited Radical raptors with a group of Anthropology students (and their professor) from the USA. We were all seriously impressed by the enthusiasm and dedication of the staff and founder/owners Dennis and Janet. What impresses me most about Radical raptors is the fact that they actually rehab and release their raptors where/when possible - many other raptor centers simply have shows and don't actually rehab and release the birds they have treated. The talk/show offered at Radical Raptors is super informative and educational, plus there is a strong conservation message communicated. Radical Raptors funds its continued rehab via their informative shows and they rely heavily on donations, please support this attraction.

“Owl and Vulture heaven”
Reviewed March 30, 2014

Owls are awesome and so are the Vultures. To be able to be so close and have them sit on your hand, that is worth it, and the talk and demo is very worth while.
