I'm writing two reviews for the Lookout as we had polar opposite experiences on both occasions. We went for lunch with our 3 young children. We got a table straight away, but there the good experience ends. The service was very slow. Then the waitress took our order, but 30 mins later I asked where it was and she told us that they had to close the kitchen for 30 mins to catch up on previous orders. Was told our order got in in time, but that it would be a bit longer. Luckily the kids could play on the beach and we were offered bread to ward off the hunger. A further 30 mins and I realised that other diners who ordered after us had received their food. I complained to our waitress and she said that the kitchen was still closed. Our order hadn't made it after all. She had no excuse why the others had received their food. She brought more bread and I asked to see the manager. She did tell him, but he avoided us for 10 mins before I went to find him. He finally apologised and said our food would be out shortly. It finally arrived another 10 mins later. Food was lovely. But the experience had been ruined. Then to top it all, we were charged for the second basket of bread! Very bad customer service. It could have been avoided if they had told us when we arrived that there was an issue with the kitchen, and if the manager hadn't been avoiding diners when there was the issue.
