“Beautiful”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

Beautiful scenery and definitely worth visiting. We did the 5km walk and will definitely want to do the longer walk next time.

“A very scenic ramble!”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

As mentioned by other reviewers, this walk is hard going at times and good shoes, lots of water and plenty of stops are advisable. The scenery is spectacular and I would advise allowing twice as much time as you think to take all the photos you must take!
The seal colony can stink a bit if the wind is blowing the wrong way but worth seeing and the sand dunes are fun.
A definite must on a visit to the area!

“A 'Must Do' when in Plett”
Reviewed January 3, 2013

Regardless of age or fitness, one of the 3 routes around and/or through this magnificent park should be experienced by all visitors to Plettenberg Bay. Try to time your long walk to the very end with low tide, which will make the return journey that much easier and enjoyable. Take a towel and wear a bathing suit on your walk so you can enjoy any one of several pools and beaches on the return route. If you have a fear of heights, there are a few places where a supportive companion might be needed, but it is really worth the moments of brief anxiety! If lucky, you will see seals by the score and the outline of large sharks cruising the waters off the peninsula.

“get in touch with nature”
Reviewed January 2, 2013

the peninsula is a park, with a very small fee (compared to other attractions in the area) you gain access to the peninsula and its hiking traks. There are 3, each of increasing lenght and level of difficulty. We had only the afternoon and took the intermediate track, othewise I would reccomed the longer path to the furthermost point of the peninsula, possibly spending a few hours on teh incontaminated beach on the right hand side. Just a reminder to take the path anti-clockwise to avoid having to climb up teh huge sand dune separating the two sides of the peninsula
