My husband and I ate at Emily's last night (July 2013) as part of our trip down the Garden Route and loved it! While it was cold enough that they had to put down the window covers (hence, missing the famous sunset views), the vibe was still super cozy and a perfect atmosphere for a romantic dinner. Our waitress was lovely, recommending her favorite dishes and wines, most of which we heeded. We snacked on the chicken spring rolls as a starter, along with their warm, homemade bread - yum! I had the Peri Peri Chicken per her suggestion, and the meat was falling off the bone. My husband had the mussel, prawn and pasta dish, which was tasty as well. The chocolate fondant was to die for, hot and melty, and went perfectly with our cab. We took coffee by the fireside, a perfect cap to a great evening. Highly recommend if you're in the area, definitely worth the drive if you're not staying at the lodge.
