This is the place to be on a hot autumn afternoon. The Mojitos are especially good and the sushi was excellent

Dinner at emily moon was suggested by our tour company, and it was a good choice.

The location seems more remote, and has a beautiful view (with outdoor seating).

Service and food were good, although dessert was disappointing. The manager was friendly, and they have a fireplace inside where you can sit and order drinks before your meal. Lighting inside is very dim.

dear emily moon,
thank you for sharing your culture, elegance and grace with us through the service, food and atmosphere. we were warmly greeted by the evenings host, Werner, who recommended a wine that was exactly what we needed. we sat by the fire, cosy with pillows and ambiance, and were catered to by Edgar and Levi better than ever. the dinner menu changes daily, therefore, the palette is never short of surprises. thank you to the kitchen captain and crew - for their hard work and dedication to satiation is not amiss. not to mention the best VANILLA CREME BRULEE i have ever tasted - we were even able to thank the head chef Andrew in person as he made his nightly rounds of the tables and to the guests.
thank you emily moon!
your presence will be missed in tomorrow night's dinner at home - we hope to see you again.

We love Emily's and it is our obvious choice for special occasions. Our family loves the service, food and setting! But this time we missed out - there was a birthday party so Nguni got our business instead.

This was my third visit to Emily's, a beautifully decorated restaurant in a stunning country location - the views and surroundings alone make it worth the visit.

The food, however, does not do justice to the setting. I went straight to the main course - grilled lamb chops served on a mushroom risotto. The chops were somewhat tough, and the risotto far too salty with pieces of rubbery mushroom. My wife opted for two starters instead of a main dish - she choose avo maki and spring rolls which she described as average. The rest of the party also felt the main meal did not quite match up to the expectations created by the venue. The desserts, a perfectly baked chocolate fondant and some delicious creme brulee, did not disappoint.

Service was good, if not a little too fast. The dishes were served less than 5 minutes after we had ordered, definitely far too short a time to enjoy the fresh bread, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Maybe it's just efficient service, but as the restaurant was full I rather gained the impression that turnover was more of a motive.
