Description: The Mile High Grill and Inn sits atop the Jerome hill on Main Street in the old Clinkscale Mercantile building, built in 1899. Opening in 2004, we have made many renovations while trying to keep the old focal points and uniqueness of the original architecture. We aren't hard to find with our beautiful red building and black and white awnings! Feel free to grab some lavender from our herb garden located in the front window box!The Mile High Inn is located above the Grill and accessible through a separate entrance, though all check-ins are done at the Grill. Here you will step back in time with the Victorian styled Inn with high ceilings, original oil paintings and most importantly, the cozy, comfortable beds. It is a great spot to have a romantic getaway. Oh, and if you feel (but can't see) a little something rubbing against your ankles, don't fear! It's only Skipp, the ghost kitty.

Last time I visited Jerome was in 1991, and we were the only people on the street that day. Things sure have changed!
Found seats at the bar at the Mile High Grill for lunch. The Cajun Queen sandwich was new to the menu - pulled pork, ham, swiss cheese with a tangy sauce - just wonderful! Hubby had the steak sandwich, also got a good review. Expected to pay more in this touristy town, so reasonable price was a nice surprise.

My girlfriend, daughter and I stopped by the Mile High yesterday during a day trip to Jerome. We stopped by numerous kitchy souvenir shops (more than I care to remember, lol) and at several of them, I asked them who had the best burger in town. There wasn't a clear cut winner (several places recommended Haunted Hamburger as well as the BBQ joint that took over for the English Place), but we obviously chose Mile High Grill.

We arrived around 1215p on a Sunday and the place was pretty busy, although we were seated right away. Unfortunately our server must've had several tables seated right around the same time as ours, because we didn't see him for more than 10 mins after we were seated (although in all honesty some bus girl did bring us waters).

My girlfriend and I both ordered burgers (she got the Diablo and I got the bacon/blue cheese) and while they were fair, neither was anything to write home about. She got the upgrade mac and cheese, since we had read here before our trip how great it was (it wasn't) and I got simple fries, which were pretty nasty. Our daughter got the kids' regular/plain mac and cheese with a side of potato chips--pretty hard to mess that up, lol.

In any event, the food was basic/standard fair. I can't recommend this place and certainly wouldn't go back again. We did order two bloody mary's and they were decent (again, not great, but fair). Eat there at your own risk.

We stopped here after visiting the Ghost Town. It was busy, but service was prompt. One of the unusual lunch options was a meatloaf stuffed with ham and cheese. Those who ordered it were happy with it. Their french fries are especially good. Clean restaurant with interesting decor.

The diablo burger wasn't spicy, but it was very tasty. The Nacho Mama's Mac n Cheese was a fantastic side dish, and had a great kick to it. The staff was great, and were very accommodating to our children.

Friendly staff, good service and quality breakfast foods. Well done!
They were able to handle 9 of us at opening and were on top of it.
