Description: The Mile High Grill and Inn sits atop the Jerome hill on Main Street in the old Clinkscale Mercantile building, built in 1899. Opening in 2004, we have made many renovations while trying to keep the old focal points and uniqueness of the original architecture. We aren't hard to find with our beautiful red building and black and white awnings! Feel free to grab some lavender from our herb garden located in the front window box!The Mile High Inn is located above the Grill and accessible through a separate entrance, though all check-ins are done at the Grill. Here you will step back in time with the Victorian styled Inn with high ceilings, original oil paintings and most importantly, the cozy, comfortable beds. It is a great spot to have a romantic getaway. Oh, and if you feel (but can't see) a little something rubbing against your ankles, don't fear! It's only Skipp, the ghost kitty.

Not only were our dinners great but the service was exceptional. Kate, our server, made our whole afternoon in Jerome worthwhile. Kate had the type of personality and style you wish for whenever you go to eat. We would return to this restaurant just for her. All the staff were jovial and courteous. Just fun to be with. The prime rib and fish tacos were excellent. We look forward to our next visit to Jerome and our next visit to Mile High Grill.

We were here for breakfast. Their menu has a nice variety, but overall the omlette seemed a bit bland. The omlette ingredients didn't seem incorporated into the eggs and the potatoes were okay, but lacked some nice onions with them. The sourdough toast slices are huge! Really thick pieces of bread. The three berry jam - flat.

We had a window table that gave us a spectacular view of the red rocks in the distance. My wife ordered an appetizer of chicken fingers that were the best I have ever eaten. I ordered a club sandwich which was made with whole chicken and spiced perfectly. The onion rings were battered and spiced just right. We were totally happy with meal, price and friendly atmosphere. We would definitely go back again

Yummy food! Great soup and sandwiches. Had the corn bread appetizer and a bowl of curried squash soup (soup special of the day). Others had the tuna sandwich and sweet potato fries and they were very tasty too.

Good vibe

We had lunch here on a Friday day trip to Jerome, and were greeted and seated by an attractive, enthusiastic and gracious hostess. The decor was fresh and clean with one wall featuring old signs and a propeller hung from the ceiling. A server followed and took our drink order while we checked the menu which was a triptych fold. We each decided on one of the blackboard specials, a sourdough bread bowl of clam chowder ($9.00) (the server called it seafood chowder), and I ordered the fish tacos ($10.00). The restaurant was not especially busy and there was a considerable wait for the food to arrive. The chowder was acceptable, but since we are New Englanders, the chowder seemed gluey and lacked rich sea flavors. The fish tacos were overloaded with a tasty coleslaw that was dripping out the ends of the tacos. A small piece of fish was almost invisible under the breading. The side of beer battered onion rings (4) were agian, overbreaded. We decided that we probably should have ordered a burger. We did sit in the window so had marvelous views overlooking Jerome.
