“Creepy fun in Jerome with fine dining high on the hill”

The Pork Tenderloin with Chilli sauce was very good and the Spicy Butternut Squash soup very tasty as well. The chicken dish was described to me as the best brown rice dish they have had so our meal was a great success despite the 158 or so hairpin curves to get to this creepy spot in the hill.

“Nice place”
Reviewed June 11, 2013

Atmoshere was wonderful. We ate lunch there so not sure about their dinner menu. however, the burgers were average. With 4 sandwiches, two beers, one soda, and a mixed drink and tip it was $100.00. People were great, service was good. They say dinner is much better.

“The view as good as the food and service.”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

Eclectic decor and menu, and everything was great including the service. It's a long winding road up to the top of jerome, overlooking the hills near Sedona, and the town itself is worth the trip for it's interesting shops and a museum.

“Great view and unique building.”
Reviewed June 5, 2013

My wife and I had a drink at the Asylum restaurant. The restaurant is located in the building that used to be an asylum hospital. It is also a hotel now. It’s worth the visit because of what it used to be and it’s located in the highest point in Jerome. It’s kind of pricey but the view is amazing.

“It's not all about the food!”
Reviewed May 31, 2013

This, by far, is one of the strangest places I've ever been. Yes, it is most definitely haunted. There's no way it could not be. Not just the restaurant..the hotel, the whole town. Whilst visiting the assorted shops you get the feeling that at sundown they all turn into, you guessed it, vampires. Too much TV? Maybe, but still...just sayin'. While in a quaint little shop filled with things of yesteryear, (and where I bought my smudge stick), the darkest group of bikers I've ever seen rode by on their way outta town. Word was, they were the baddest gang outta Cali, and the Sheriff ran them out. Talk about bad energy!! So getting back to the Asylum, you cannot beat the view, of course, on their patio, and the food is actually quite descent. It can qualify as gourmet, and one of the most decadent chocolate cakes, that actually tastes as good as it looks, is enough for 4! If you're going to venture to Jerome, AZ, this is a must. (Not much else is)
