We visited Jerome and north central Arizona while showing friends from the east coast who have never been to Arizona and had lunch at the Haunted Hamburger. We arrived about 1:30 PM and there was a 35 minute wait to get a table. We did get a table in the covered outside area and there is always a view of the Verde Valley which is spectacular.
We all ordered burgers of various styles except my wife who got a vegy casadilla. The burgers were good, but lacked some seasoning and boy are they juicy and messy! I had a twice baked potato which had been around awhile but still tasty. My wife's casadilla was good, but needed some seasoning... something. Not sure what but it was lacking that 'something' that I can't describe.
Maneuvering to and around the condiment bar, ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, peppers and etc., can be challenging with all the people waiting to be seated.
The lemonade was bitter and way too sweet. Not like lemonade. My wife summed it up as "nasty" and our guests didn't like it either.
Our waitress was pleasant and the food came out quickly. The place does its' best getting people in and out. It is always good.
