The pulled pork sandwich was excellent. We ate inside -- looking forward to eating outside on a warm spring day.

“just average”

We wanted to love it here. It smelled delicious. It was a busy Tuesday afternoon during lunch. We sat outside. The waitresses seemed to be overwhelmed- and the food was just ok. I had a bbq chicken sandwich and my husband had the brisket platter. The service was slow. the food was ehhh. we will not be returning.

“"Only the Meat "”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2013

BOBBY D 'S BBQ in the English Kitchen building established in 1899. You can eat in side or out on a large deck overlooking Hull Ave. we ordered the sliders which were good, onion rings that were mushy and oil soaked (un eatable) The vegetable dish was bland and frozen food quality. Stick with the meat when ordering and all should be good. Great people watching.

“A Delicious Variety of Barbecue Choices!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2013

We enjoyed a great variety of different BBQ options, and lovely outdoor seating on a perfect September night. Our family was visiting from out of town, so our group ordered a smorgasbord of different menu items to share at the picnic table: pork, beef, chicken, sliders, sandwiches, tacos, cornbread, slaw, onion rings. I especially enjoyed the Tacos Barbacoa, and Bobby D's special aioli sauce.
Local beer from Flagstaff, Lumberyard IPA, on tap, and perfect to wash everything down.

Historic restaurant, basic picnic table seating on the deck and vintage booths/diner-style seating indoors. Friendly wait-staff. One waitress working solo on a Sunday night but she was on her game. Smokehouse-style. Smoker stationed in the adjacent yard cast yummy-scents our way on the deck.

The family enjoyed our dinner at Bobby D's.

“Great BBQ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2013

Delicious bbq - we had pulled pork and the quarter chicken. SIdes were also very good. Relaxed atmosphere. Although there is no wine on the menu, they do have one white and one red if you ask -- served in a jelly jar. Beer served in a mason jar. Very tiny inside - go when you can sit outside and enjoy the view.
