“Excellent small museum focused on local history.”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

This is a beautiful small museum. A 30 minute film on the history of Jerome -- and it is quite a history -- is included in the $5 admission. At the edge of the parking lot, don't miss the glass topped look to the bottom of the mine shart.

“Mile High Town”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

Very old mining town situated a mile high on a mountain. Unique little stores amongst houses amazingly built on cliffs. Visiting the mine was interesting and the views were breathtaking.

“Fascinating history”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

There is a lot of history here. The connection with Winston Churchill is amazing. The museum staff is very attentive and well informed. They have a nice collection - both inside and outside.

“Lots of history”
Reviewed June 26, 2013

We stopped at the Jerome State Historic Park before we went into town. They have a movie which gives you an entertaining history of the town. The displays are interesting and the staff were very helpful. We thought it was worth the price.

“Magical place to visit...”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

The drive to Jerome out of Prescott is breathtakingly beautiful, through a forest the likes of which I have never seen (and I am from the Sierra Nevada in CA). The location of the tiny old mining town, on the steep side of a mountain, makes one think of Italy, as one looks down from one narrow street to another. The views across the valley to Sedona are gorgeous. The galleries and shops are so interesting, and filled with mostly quite high quality merchandise, not to mention lovely art. Having wandered Jerome completely, I recommend then driving down the mountain and across to Sedona, whether or not you have been there before. A bit like going from Italy to Spain, as one wanders through the Tlaquepaque gardens, buildings and fountains.
