Jerome, Arizona is a great place to spend a day or weekend. It is the most vertical town in the USA. The art galleries display amazing talent. The town is rich in history and quirks. To fully appreciate Jerome, your first stop should be an hour in the museum in the State Park. See a replica of the web of mines beneath the town. Read how union sympathizers were taken from their beds, put on a train headed west, never to be seen or heard from again. The old buildings are impressive, as are the tales of the ghosts that inhabit the town. After the town was abandoned, squatters moved in and turned the town into an artist community. It is an Arizona 'Must-See'!

Our first stop in Jerome. Very informative museum - great movie of the history of Jerome narrated by a "ghost". Lots of great mining equipment on view. Don't miss stopping at the little park at the bottom as you're leaving....that is where the glass covered view of the mine shaft is!

The park has some amazing views of the valley and the surrounding area, and it also has some old drill equipment. But other than that, theres not much to do here, instead its just cool to pass through and stop real fast for the looks.
