“Disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013 via mobile

First let me say that the owner was wonderful and the breakfast was amazing. The room was very clean but very small. You could not open the windows to let in the beautiful fresh air since it cooled down nicely at night. For someone that has difficulty with stairs this is not for them. It was not worth $171.00 a night cause there really isn't any outstanding amenities. This is not a place for kids at all, nothing to do. She does make great peanut butter cookies though.

We are very sorry that your visit was not up to you expectations. We try very hard to make our Inn the best it can be. We are very clear that the rooms are not large, it is a historic home and the room sizes are original. Jerome is a historic town with many things to do that do fill the needs of some kids, but not all. And finally our rates are actually average in Jerome, as well as when compared to many of the B&Bs we have stayed at around the country. Again, we are sorry for not meeting their expectations, but so many others find it perfect that we really can't change what we have.

We stayed in the Verde View Room which is so nice. The view was amazing from our own balcony. The room was pretty, clean and comfortable. Jackie was very friendly and cooked up a great breakfast. When we arrived there were cookies and bottled water. The common room had lots of games we could borrow.
The only downside - being right on Main Street the traffic noise could have been bothersome, but earplugs avoided that problem nicely so we slept well.

Room Tip: Most of the rooms have a fabulous view of the Verde Valley. One of them is on the back of the build...

We stayed at Ghost City Inn for one night, and that BUMMED us out. We wanted to stay longer! We arrived at 3:00 p.m. and were immediately amazed by the hospitality of Jackie (the owner along with her husband). Jackie has the biggest smile and was very happy for us to be there, she made us feel welcome. OMG, she also had homemade chocolate cookies and ice water, or tea to welcome us. Let me tell you, the cookies were so good, my husband and I named them CHOCOLATELY GOODNESS! We were in the Verde View and after dropping our bags off, explored the town. Jackie provided a map and great suggestions. One hint, arrive to Jerome early and look around so that you dont have to rush after checking in . Most stores close at 6:00 p.m. There is a fridge available, wine glasses, umbrellas, etc. Jackie does not leave any detail out! We had a great night and then breakfast came! HOLY COW, is all i can say. Fruit, juice, yogurt, cornbread, ham, and a cornbread southwest chessy deliciousness meal was to die for! We left and explored some more before heading home. We are planning our next stay and have decided we want to stay in every room! THANKS for the awesome visit (although too short!)

Room Tip: If you splurge and go for the rooms facing outward, you will get an awesome patio and gorgeous views...

My wife and I love Jerome Arizona. We were looking for a place to stay to celebrate our 45th. wedding Anniversary and we found it "Ghost City Inn". It was a delight spending time with and enjoying the culinary talents of the Inn keeper Jackie. The room we stayed in was the Cleopatra Room which was very charming. The Inn is within walking distance of the local shops and resturants. You must prepare yourself for a real treat because the cuisene is Great.Jackie also makes one of the BEST Chocolate chip cookies I have ever tasted (and thats quite a few cookies also). The whole experience was very relaxing and enjoyable. Would I stay there again, you bet in a Heartbeat.

Deciding at the last minute to try a stopover in Jerome during our South West USA road trip, we were more than happy to find ourselves staying at the Ghost City Inn. It's a beautiful, super-friendly B and B owned by the local Sheriff and his wife Jackie. Our room (the Miners Suite) was bursting with history and character and we spent a wonderful evening on our verandah sipping wine and watching the sunset over the valley. Jackie serves a delicious breakfast and her homemade peanut butter cookies are to die for!
