I stayed at this place because of the story and history. The rooms are nice and smell good. The view from the room was great. They have ghost hunts for willing guests. I stayed in room 11 next to the elevator and eatery. It was loud up until about 11 or so from people coming in. Only thing that I can say that caught my attention was in the early hours of the mourning I did hear what seemed to be a bottle cap fall in my bathroom. It was clear to me that it was in my room. Got up the next mourning and nothing was out of place or on the floor. Creepy!

Room Tip: Fun place to stay and get the view facing Sedona.

We loved the whole feel of the place. Staff all really nice. We will come back soon. Even if I did nearly fall of the side of the hill. ( after returning from the pub. May I add.) cockrogers. England.

Bring your camera and take plenty of photos. (look for orbs)

The old hotel that is supposedly haunted is a lot of fun to stay at. Rooms were older, but clean.
You will note that people do roam the hallways on their ghost hunts, but it was not any issue for us.

Go into Jerome for dinner and avoid the Asylum, as it was pricy and not worth the money.

Stayed here for one night and that was enough. There is no way to control the temperature In the room .. It was unbearably hot, had window open but was frequently awoken by drunk guests who were hanging around outside the front entrance of the hotel talking & laughing. Next morning plugged in hair dryer which blew a fuse in the room and cut out the lights. Phoned front desk, they asked if I was checking out that day, which I was, needless to say they didn't to bother to fix the electrics.

On entering it was like walking into a sauna the thermometer on the wall in reception showed 78 degrees , throughout the entire hotel I'm sure was this intense heat, which is no comfortable to sit or sleep in . Air conditioning was a piece of cardboard cut out stuck on the wall to make it look like a unit ! Ceiling fan was flat out all night to lower the heat in the room, this made it hard to sleep. The hair dryer that we bought along ( as there was not one supplied ) tripped the electric and we where left with out finishing our hair as they failed and had given up once they realised we were only staying one night to resolve the problem.breakfast was make it yourself bagel and coffee . Mmnn would expect better considering the money paid.

This place was a fun experience. We got one of the balcony rooms, which ended up being right next door to one of the infamous rooms. It was beautiful. It's renovated but the old-style charm is still very much there. The balcony was amazing. Since the hotel is basically at the top of the town on the mountainside, you get a full prime view of the town and the entire Verde Valley off in the distance. Although we didn't have any ghost encounters, there was one instance where the power kept going out as a small, isolated storm passed through. We wanted to do the ghost tour, but since we were staying on a Saturday night, they informed us that they don't run the ghost tours on the weekends due to there not being any rooms available. Nevertheless, we had a great time. It was mid-March when we were there so it was quite warm outside and the rooms don't have A/C. We slept with the balcony doors open to get fresh air. I'd highly recommend staying here during the cooler months. Trying to get rest that night was a bit of a challenge since there were lots of amateur ghost hunters outside taking pictures. I kept seeing the camera flahses coming through the window despite being 4 stories up. That was a bit annoying, but since it's a hotspot for ghost hunting, I couldn't be too upset about it. It was a lot of fun getting to ride the old-fashioned elevator, and the restaurant downstairs was also really good. It's definitely the place to stay if you're looking for a fun experience in a reportedly haunted hotel.

This old hotel was once a hospital reported to have a number of ghostly visitors unfortunately I didn't see any but my wife insists one kissed her during the night.....hhmmmm. Bob and Chris who were running the front desk were as personable, professional, informative and helpful as anyone could hope to be. Lots of old antiques to perk your imagination, an amazing view and a superb restaurant downstairs! Only gripe is that we had two different rooms for two nights. One just outside the restaurant/bar and one above it. Both very noisy until 10 or 11 at night. Try to get a room down the hall. Otherwise...loved it!

Room Tip: Stay away from the restaurant and bar...unless your eating of course!
