I think most of the visitors zoom right by this turn without giving it a blink, which would be too bad. The history of Jerome and the mining community is a great piece of Arizona that should not be missed. Lots of artifacts from the era , as well as a great many photographs over the 100 plus years of the area are a great way to make the historical connection when you visit. It's worth the admission.

If you want to learn the fascinating history of Jerome, this is the place to visit! The town has many tales to tell, most of which are covered in the exhibits here, from the mining life to prominent citizens, to the "sliding" town, to the various ladies of the evening who called Jerome home, this museum has it all. Well worth a visit.

Downtown Jerome has the remodeled Mine Museum displaying Jerome’s timeline, mining equipment, household goods, a Chinese laundry machine, gambling paraphernalia, and stories of people who made Jerome what it is.

We could have spent more time here in the town with all their shops and restaurants but we wanted to get back to Sedona for the sunset. Could have spent more time here.

The Jerome Mine has a fabulous history that is worth knowing.
Copper was king, but the mine also produced gold and silver. This town and its mining past are a must-see for those who
visit the Sedona area.
