This is not a luxury location, but it is very clean, is owner involved and operated, and well worth the budget price! A one night on the motel strip kind of place, but is a safe choice with no unpleasant surprises - I'd return!
We stay at Holbrook several times a year on our way to Scottsdale but have always stayed at another motel. After looking at the reviews of the Travelodge, we decided to try it and we were pleasantly surprised. The people who own this (or manage) are very nice and very dedicated to making sure you are taken care of. When we arrived, there were cookies and coffee waiting for us at the front desk and we were offered to look at rooms to see which one we wanted. The room was very clean and very quiet. We were also offered a cheaper rate than what we made on-line as they were having a special. How nice for someone to tell us about it instead of just letting us pay the rate we were quoted on-line. It was quite windy that day and a lot of leaves had blown in the parking lot and around the doors leading to the room. The owner (manager) had already cleaned the parking lot that day but she came back out and swept up the leaves and especially around the door leading to our room. This just shows how she wants to make sure guests are taken care of. The lighting over the bathroom sink was very good. So many times the lighting is so bad but this was not the case here. The hot breakfast the next morning was very nice. All in all it was a very nice stay and we will definitely stay there in March when we return back to that area.
This was a great stop on our journey west. It's close to the interstate and had clean and comfortable rooms. At first I thought that there was no TV in our room because it wasn't on the dresser across from the bed but all I had to do was look a up and I found a widescreen attached to the wall. I was surprised that there were no bagels offered at their free breakfast since they had cream cheese out. Still, what they did offer was good. Overall it was a nice stay with a comfy bed, hot shower and clean room.
After a long drive from Monument Valley we were looking for a comfortable place to rest before visiting the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert the next day. We chanced upon the Travelodge Holbrook, and it was all we were looking for and more! A warm welcome (cookies and coffee at check-in), clean, comfortable rooms, a gracious and helpful staff (their directions were perfect -- even someone who always gets lost was able to follow them without mishap), and a wonderful warm breakfast to start us on the road the next morning. Added to this was their knowledge of the area, and sharing coupons and promotions from local vendors saved us money as well.
We had read a review about this hotel and decided it may be worth the few extra miles. It did not disappoint us! The room was clean and well furnished, good bed and all the extras. Breakfast was not only the usual fare but had some extras. Cookies and coffee were offered at check in. Our rate was reduced due to a special that was not available at time of booking. We would definitely stay again.
