“Not the best”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

The food was just alright. There was only one other table occupied the whole time we were there and still the waitress was sort of absent. The place really needs to be remodeled. The lighting was a tired old florescent tube ceiling fixture with no cover on it so we got to enjoy the glare coming from it while we dined. The old Route 66 "charm" can only carry a place so far - this is looking a bit run down unfortunately.

“yummy homey food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2012

we went for dinner and breakfast - in both occasions we enjoyed our meal, definitely made with fresh ingredients. this is a 3 generations family business and if you go for dinner you will get the full story, including the relation to Pixar's Cars. only things that were let down: the coffee (bad) and the OJ (not fresh and plastic tasting). rest was freshly made and yummy!

“Friendly Service & Good Food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2012

This cafe has a lot of character and history to it making it worth a stop. Many photos of Route 66 are around on the walls and in albums. It may be old and worn but feels good to sit in the booths and reflect on the history and look out at old 66.The service was excellent and the food was ok.

“Route 66 Landmark”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 26, 2012

We read the reviews for Joe and Aggie's and as we were staying the night just down the street at Globetrotter Lodge, we went there for dinner. Greeted at the door by Joe himself, quickly seated and placed our order. My hubby had the combo plate with red chile sauce which he pronounced "not bad" which means very food. I combined Mexican and Indian and had the Navajo taco. Like a chalupa but on fried Indian flatbread. I had the green chile sauce...I could not finish all of it, but it was very good. As we were leaving Joe provided directions for a shorter drive to Scottsdale. I think we will go back for breakfast and huevos rancheros.

“Breakfast wonderland”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

We ate here with some new friends we met at the wigwam, they were doing route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica. A nice place with friendly help, I had enchiladas with an egg and green chili, wonderful. the other at our table also enjoyed their foods. Portions were adequate to large. prices were good too. good parking also.
