I have to say I was a little worried the real thing would not be as good as the pictures. It was better! The owners were gracious and the attention to detail was amazing. I kept looking for something they missed and never found anything. The breakfast was nice and tables were set for guests according to room numbers. It was a short drive from the Painted Desert and Petrified Forrest and a great stop over on our road trip to the Grand Canyon.

What a nice departure from the chain hotels! This is a family run lodge that has been lovingly restored after being vacant for 10 years. Our room with a king bed was spacious, comfortable & fairly quiet considering a train runs through the city. For breakfast, a table was reserved for us with china dishes. The food was fresh, nice choice & homemade jam. In this small town, this is a great find!

During our Route 66 road trip, the Globetrotter was a pleasant surprise! Across the street for the famous Wigwam Motel, the rooms were warm and comfortable, and the free breakfast provided many fresh options. The owners are very friendly and aim to please. Fully recommend.

I had never stayed at the Globetrotter before, mostly because it was so close to home. I do believe I will stay there again in the future, however. The owners have turned this old Route 66 motel around in a very friendly manner and you will feel welcome spending the night. The room was very large and well-appointed. The hand-painted sink in the bathroom was an interestng touch. Even though there may be an "iconic" Route 66 motel across the street give the Globetrotter a try.

I stayed there with two friends and we were surprised by quality of the service here! Great location; good wifi; large rooms and owners really make you feel at home. I absolutely recommend to anyone going to see the petrified forest national park

Had an excellent stay at the globetrotter. Really big and clean room. Pool area was awesome, super retro. Pool was clean and cold. Breakfast was great. The nostalgia was excellent. Love that the owners saved this place and have done such a good job renovating. Would stay at again if in holbrook.

It may not look like much from the road but this Route 66 motel is exactly what you want when driving on Route 66. The rooms are all newly painted and plans are afoot for more expansion. Peter and Mona Hoeller do their utmost to make you comfortable. A shining light in a very gloomy town.
