Neat boutique motel, many rooms have more than 1 bed (some have 3 and extra "nooks" for more family space). Very European personal service, every breakfast table was individually set for a specific room. Rooms are each individually decorated. Not a fancy place, but a nice place to rest your head and get some good customer service at a much better rate than the hotel chains. Right across the street from the "Kozy Kone" (think Disney Cars movie) so kids will love to stare across at that route 66 icon, but you'll get a good night's sleep staying here instead.

Room Tip: Call ahead to make sure the room type you want is available. Not sure if any of the rooms have batht...

We had read the reviews of this motel and took a chance on it. Good choice. It is an old motel from the 40's or 50's but has been gutted and rebuilt. The owners are from Austria and have done a great job with it. It isn't beautiful but it is clean, cute and worth the price. We got the room with two rooms and three beds, due to the 4 little grandkids. It included a continental breakfast which was a pleasant surprise. We had a table ready for us with china plates and the food was typical fare; bagels, cereal and such but also included homemade coffee cake like my Hungarian grandmother would have made for me. Not much to do in Holbrook but if you want a clean room and friendly service, try it out.

I stayed here for two nights mid-week, and I was disappointed with the experience overall. Though the motel is clean and the owner friendly, the decor in our room was hideous (bedspread with a motif resembling Zena the Warrior's desert cousin), and the beds were in poor condition with saggy mattresses. I also was surprsied that the doors did not have double-locks, considering that they open directly to the outside on a main road with several abandoned or run-down buildings. For a budget accommodation (your only choice in Holbrook), this motel was on the expensive side and did not deliver the charm others on TripAdvisor have raved about. I love the idea of the Globetrotter, but I found it to be more if a dive than a hidden gem.

This town is ok, the hotels are not, This hotel is really nice though. A clean remodeled room, with comfortable beds. Clean and well lit.
A huge parking lot and close to the safeway grocery store, if needed.
The owners are from Europe, so they are very attentive to your needs, tell them you need coffee or tea and they will go so far as to deliver it to your room!
The breakfast is good, standard, but good. They seat you on tables, with numbers corresponding to your room,. Sweet small detail, you might strike up a conversation with a stranger at breakfast, how nice is that!?
Peter, the owner is a great guy and wants to make sure you have a great stay, mention you want to dine at the nearby steak house, he will direct you to it and you will get 10% off your meal. Holbrook is lacking in quality hotels, but this one is the only place to stay.

We spent two nights in this wonderful motel while we were exploring Northeastern Arizona. The rooms were lovely, updated and super clean. The hotel is owned by an Austrian family and we enjoyed having a little bit of Austrian charm in the Arizona desert.

Don't let the Google Map picture fool you, the outside of the place has been totally updated, and they have remodeled 10 of the guest rooms in this historic motel on route 66. We stopped for 2 nights to visit Petrified Forest National Park. We had room #10. It was very basic, like in the old days, but cute and comfortable, with a lot of the fixtures built by the owners. There is no internet in the rooms, but there is a connection in the lobby/dining area. We expected more of a breakfast than the bagels, toast or cereal provided, and cannot see how they handle the 4 available tables when more of the rooms are filled. The only real negative is that the lobby smells smokey, although the room did not. The price was good and we would definitely stay here again if we stop in Holbrook.

Room Tip: We only saw our room, but assume all of them are pretty much the same.

We stayed at the Globetrotter on our way out to the Painted Desert / Petrified Forest. There isn't much to the town of Holbrook (perhaps it picks up in the summer) so we did not necessarily expect much when we came to stay. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the Globetrotter. The owners did a nice job renovating. The rooms are fairly basic but are very clean and comfortable. After a long day of driving, we were happy to find a nice place to relax and rest. The owners were very kind and even made sure to go in and turn up the heat for us before we arrived (since it had turned cold). I would certainly recommend to anyone visiting the area.
