“What a way to start the day”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 17, 2013

I was one of a party of four Brits driving from Chicago to LA, along Route 66 and T & S's Diner provided one of the best breakfasts we had on the whole trip. The menu looked not quite as extensive as others we'd seen, with set meals. However, the attentive waitress allowed substitutes and my eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast and coffee was just what I wanted - it was delicious. We also liked the 'breakfast experience'. Perhaps it was because it was approaching Memorial Day that the diner was decked out in red, white and blue bunting. That, along, with the never ending cups of coffee and the musical background - Eddie Cochran, Jimi Hendrix, Tom Petty and Lynyrd Skynar amongst others - made for a perfect start to another day on the road. Thanks.

“Good value”

Good service, average place, average food. We had tilapia, chicken alfredo, and a burger. We would eat there again. Not quite the nostalgia of Jo & Aggie's, but equal in other respects.

“A Blast from the Past”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 2, 2013

Despite operating under new ownership and a new name only since October 1, 2011, this has the vibe of a genuine small-town 60's diner. This is a small place with good food, friendly service, good prices, and 60's music playing quietly in the background. Stuck in a time warp, there is nothing trendy on the menu, just good tasting fried food.

We got into Holbrook late after a 600 mile drive, and Tom and Suzie's was convenient for dinner. I had the 1/2# burger with pepper jack cheese and fries, and my wife had the 1/3# classic burger with American cheese and onion rings. Real ground beef, probably 70/30, but maybe 80/20, and very tasty grilled on a flat-top. The waitress was very pleasant and efficient. As we were staying at the motel next door and had vouchers for a free breakfast, told her we would be there again in the morning. She told us that she would also be there, and wished us a good evening.

The next morning we ordered the "French" breakfast, two eggs, sausage or bacon, a piece of French toast, and a bottomless cup of coffee. Very good, very efficient, and quite tasty. Our waitress, the same as the previous evening, was once again quite pleasant and personable.

We enjoyed this place. We will eat here again the next time we are in Holbrook.
