We stayed here for one night. It felt like home. Everything was very relaxed, in general. The room was très clean (probably the cleanest hotel I've been to) and well equipped. Not much more I could've asked for. Breakfast was also very clean and neat. Not a busy place: most of the rooms were left open. 5/5. Would come back.

Fantastic service, great food and a beautiful setting. What more could you want? We went for the restaurant and discovered a terrific inn with wonderfully attentive staff and very good food. Dave in the kitchen, Ginger in the dining room, and Tracy the GM make a great team. We will definitely return.

Rented a cabin for 2 nights. Staff was very friendly with a laid back, small town attitude. However very attentive and professional. Plenty of things to do if you have children of all ages. video games, air hoceky, pool table. Hill outside for sliding in the snow. Outside jacuzzi is nice touch. Cabin had everything needed for cooking including a grill on the porch. Plenty of firewood was stocked on our arrival and refilled for the 2nd day. We did not need extra towels but were told just to let them know. We had a party of six. Not much extra sitting area inside the cabin for that many people, however the kids were outside much of the time. Cabins could use some extra seating but that in no way took away from our stay. It snowed over night our last day and I inquired about road conditions to leave and was given an answer in minutes. If you go and think you will stop for supplies at a store in Greer think again. There is only a small market. It was well stocked but expensive ( stick of butter $2). Stop in Showlow-Pinetop before heading up. Of course most important for families, it was very affordable. We are already looking at the calendar for when we can return.

What a great, worry free escape from the every day. You cannot walk through the front door of the Peaks without feeling an overwhelming sense of warmth and coziness supplied by not only the beautiful cabin itself, but a great, helpful, and caring staff that is ready to assist you in any way. Whether it be directions, answering questions about the town of Greer, or simply helping pick a movie to cuddle up and watch by the fire they are ready to assist you in any way you need them to. Our room was meticulously put together and within 5 minutes of arriving we had already lit the fireplace and heated up some mugs of hot cocoa to sip on while just enjoying the gorgeous forest atmosphere visible from every window in our room. The Peaks itself has many accommodations including hot tubs and a beautiful dining room, we could have spent our entire trip in the resort itself. Fun little note, Mrs. Claus was reading children stories when we arrived, what an atmosphere!

Room Tip: Stayed in the Honeymoon Suite which was beautiful, great seating arrangement with a great looking fi...

Reading the recent review from sfslind, how could I possibly say more? But then, there is a new owner (same managers) and as a local Greer resident, I must let you all know some of the wonderful things in store for the Peaks from Kay Zahn (new owner.) That fireplace will get well used this winter with Thursday night happy hours -- free food for a few hours . . . who can beat that? There is now continental breakfast every morning and full Sunday Brunch. Sledding hill to be added out back and I'm sure even more. After just a few weeks, Kay has amazed me once again!

Room Tip: Give Kay time, she'll probably soon have photos of the rooms at their website to help you decide...

This is a very laid back and relaxing place with great folks running it. We were there in October and enjoyed it very much. If we needed something, we just asked and they took care of it!! I told the owner when we left to update their website as we would have enjoyed the use of the hot tubs but did not know they had one so did not go prepared. She agreed they needed to do so. Wendy and Rob were such good hosts. The restaurant was closed for the two days we were there. But we will surely go back

Room Tip: If you cannot manage stairs, please tell them when you book. They accommodated us but had they been...

My wife and I were VERY pleasantly surprised staying at the Peaks. From the moment we were greeted by Wendy at arrival everything was first class. The lodge has a wonderful common area with high, wood beamed ceilings, a roaring fire, piped in music, and a flat screen if you feel the need for news from the outside world. Our Mountain King room was very comfortable and cozy. EVERYTHING at the lodge is immaculately taken care of and in clean and pristine condition. Additionally, this is the ONLY place to eat at in Greer! Yes, there are other places where you can get food, but in our experience in Greer not much of it is very edible. Rob actually knows what he is doing in the kitchen and all his dishes are meticulously prepared and delicious. They also provide what they call a continental breakfast but it is actually quite extensive with freshly baked cinammon rolls, muffins, bagels, yogurt & granoloa, fresh juice and milk, assorted other breads, etc. all of which is FRESHLY put together each morning (I believe this may be offered only on the weekends and/or Thursday thru Sunday). The lodge also has a couple of hot tubs, a workout room, and a game room for kids if you need that sort of thing. The Peaks is not specifically designated as a B & B but my wife and I felt that was the best way to describe the experience since Wendy provides the kind of hands on attention we normally associate only with B & B's. Anyway, if you are looking for a 1st class relaxing experience in Greer make sure you plan a stay at The Peaks!

Room Tip: There are a wide variety of room options. It really only matter how many people you need room for a...
