“Great Food, Great Atmosphere”
Reviewed January 11, 2014

If you want a more upscale dining experience in Green Valley, this is the place to go. The atmosphere is great, the wait staff performed flawlessly, and not only was the presentation of the food great, it was outstanding to the taste buds. As someone mentioned previously, they have new management, and it seems that has made a difference. The food is expensive for Green Valley, but a bargain when compared to quality and atmosphere at comparable restaurants nationwide.

“Mixed Reviews”
Reviewed December 31, 2013

Last few months have eaten there a number of times. Service levels are great, even when there are private parties on site. But food continues to be inconsistent. With the limited menu you often order repeats, so you have a chance to really see what the kitchen comes up with.

These "repeat" orders reflect the inconistency. The second order of quesadillas had very little pieces of chicken and a miniscule amount of the promised black beans, with mild tasteless salsa. In the third meal of fish and chips, the fish fillets were much smaller than previously, and more heavily breaded. I had to literally hunt for my chicken fillet on my "pecan salad' the second time I ordered; it was bare 2" x 3", very brown and dried up. Luckily my husband had great moist tenders in his chicken and shrimp basket so he shared. And on a positive note the basket and fish tacos are proving to be the best and most consistent choices. And the new house wine, aptly from Quail Creek Cellars, is a great buy.

“Good Food and Service, Great Location”
Reviewed December 16, 2013

My wife and I usually eat light in the bar area, but occasionally dine in the restaurant. They have some very good evening specials, like Spagetti on Mondays. We have gone twice for prime rib (Saturday). The first time it was pretty rare -we asked for it that way. The second time it was perfect. The service is usually pretty good but sometimes a bit slow when they have a crowd. The atmosphere and location are very good. I wish they had a larger selection on their menu.

“Yuk!”
Reviewed October 6, 2013

We ordered Prime Rib w/salad. My wife told the server at the time we ordered she would lke fresh ground pepper on her salad. When the salads came she requested it again. It took 3 min. to find a pepper mill. When the Prime Rib arrived it was a horrible sight. The veggies looked like mush and they looked like they had been ladled on the plate due to the amount of water. I asked for horseradish and was told they had none. Only the sauce? An unidentified person came and wanted to know what the problem was. I showed him the plate. He offered to take it off my bill. I refused. You can't tell people how bad something is if it's free.

“Improving”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

Though other reviews highlight the inconsistencies; I must make note that over the last two months the service level and quality of food has improved. There has been a turnover in staff, and one can see the change in attitude. Even other wait staff, and the manager will stop by to see if you have been taken care of or everything is okay. Have been very happy with the last few meals we have had there from either the bar menu or the main menu for the restaurant. Important, as residents, this was one of the selling features, that of having an on-site restaurant and bar.
