“Enjoyed Our Stay”
Reviewed April 12, 2012

Two nights, two rooms in April. Very pleasant staff. Rooms were clean, and well furnished. Good breakfast, nice pool area.

Only a few issues - because we had booked the rooms online, they wouldn't let us split the payment. Have NEVER had that happen before.
The air conditioner in our room was very loud.
Would really have liked a freezer in the frig for our cold packs.

Room Tip: Check the air conditioner before you settle in

This recently remodeled Inn was both comfortable and decently priced-A rare combination. The rooms were large (we had a poolside king--nice size pool, btw), well furnished, clean and quiet.

We enjoyed the restaurant, which was very good for all meals, not just the free HOT breakfast.

Very convenient to the attractions we wanted to see including the Titan Missal museum, which is a fascinating relic of when the Tuscon area was a major part of the nuclear deterrence strategy of the US.

The only suggestion that I would have is to replace the small toilets with elongated ones. This is the modern standard, and the elongated certainly is more comfortable. I am surprised that did not do this in the recent remodel

Anyhow, hotel staff was great and we would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others.

Room Tip: Ground floor poolside is very nice.

This hotel was a great stay with no complaints. We had a party of 4 and a late arrival. Upon arrival, was greeted with a smile from the front desk staff. Check-in was very quick. They had my key card and room packet ready for me.
The room was very clean. Has the nice flat screen tv and updated furniture. Spacious bathroom with plenty of amenities. Was a little worried being next to the back door entrance of it being loud, but it was a quiet room.
In the morning, the hotel provides a hot breakfast at the 19th Hole Restaurant on-site. There are several choices to choose from that are complimentary or you can order from the menu and have a $5 discount applied per person. All 4 of us ordered off the menu and bill was only $18 and filling food.
Check out was also a breeze. Hotel manager was the one who checked me out and asked about stay. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a clean, comfortable and fair priced hotel.

Perfectly pleasant, attractive and clean . Former Quality Inn. Recently rehabbed and rates went up. Two stories - no elevator. Nice attached restaurant with menu breakfast included. Green Valley is a pretty, quiet small town at the base of the Santa Rita Mountains with delightful access and easy drive up into Madera Canyon, 14 miles away, for great hiking, birding and picnic areas. This BW is right off Int. 19 yet very quiet and peaceful. Walk to other restaurants and Walgreens across street. Even the parking lot is leafy and landscaped. The pool is in an interior courtyard. The best rate was online so check around. As a birder, I like driving in and out of Madera Cyn. at all hours. Also, the rates at the 3 lodgings in the canyon were rather high, so the BW was a preferred economical choice. Now that BW rates have risen, you can stay in Madera Cyn. for about the same price....except in summer. BW will be cheaper in the hot summer months, but Canyon rates will stay high due to the hummingbird traffic. I have tried them all and for overall comfort and price, the BW is a good deal. I'll be back.

Room Tip: No elevator for second floor. Quietest rooms will be on south side, second floor facing a leafy park...

Overall the stay was worthwhile. The staff was friendly. The room (room 263) had a musty/cigarette smell; but not bad enough to change rooms and it may have come from under the adjoining room door. The room was in good condition. When it was time to go to bed, we pulled back the covers and found long black hair on the sheet … YUCK! The room and bathroom looked like they had been cleaned quickly. The bathroom had 2 bottles of lotion, 1 bar of soap (guess you have to use it for the sink AND shower) & 1 bottle of shampoo. There were 2 of each towel (bath, hand & wash), no bath mat and no 'Do Not Disturb' sign … we had to ask for a sign. There was a buzzer that went off four times during the night in the area of the mini-refrigerator; but every time I jumped out of bed and got near the area ... it stopped … never did figure out what was buzzing. The room door didn't latch without REALLY tugging on or slamming it; we notified management at checkout. The walls were thin, you could hear the people in the next rooms sneeze, blow their nose and talk. You could hear people talk in the parking lot; not a hotel issue. We ran the A/C all night to try to get the A/C noise to block out the other noise. Speaking of noise … the comforter was noisy; it crackled every time you moved.
A cooked to order hot breakfast at the '19th Hole' restaurant (off the hotel lobby) was included in the room rate; which was very good and plenty of food. There was a page in the menu for hotel guests. If you ordered off the other parts on the menu, they took $5 off the menu price. The menu prices were VERY reasonable. The hotel has one elevator which was at the opposite end of the hotel from our room, so we opted to lug the luggage up the stairs. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. They also have a computer (with printer) in a room off the Lobby, for hotel guests. All in all, it was a good value; just wished there was more quiet and less noise.

Room Tip: Room 263 is off the main hall in a wing that has 4 rooms (potentially quieter, depending on neighbor...

We were in town visiting family, and they had room for the kids but not for us (darn...). Our room here was comfortable and surprisingly spacious (a nice couch area), with a small refrigerator and a good flat screen TV. Despite being right near the pool, our room was very quiet. As stated in other reviews, the restaurant is quite popular, and we had a tasty dinner there one night and had perfectly fine breakfasts (they come with your room, either from a set menu or $5 coupons for each person from the main menu). Since Green Valley is a retirement community, I felt very youthful every morning when I went to breakfast! I personally thought the hotel (outdoor) pool was a bit scarily warm, but maybe that's just me. 2 computers in the free business center. We would not hesitate to stay here again if we were in the area.

This place was great, the beds were very comfortable, the rooms were clean and quiet.
We liked the pool, because the water temp was about 80 degs. and it was a little chilly outside.
It's located in a great little retirement community, and the area is laid out very nice.

Room Tip: If you don't mind the 2nd floor, it is quieter The first floor has sliding glass doors to acce...
