Thank you for staying with us. It's fun to provide a unique & fun schoolroom experience! Happy that you enjoyed breakfast too! Take care. Rosalie
we went to superior and globe, az to visit the boyce thompson arboretum. We stayed at the noftsger hill inn. It was an amazing experience. The owner is warm and inviting, as well as a gourmet cook. The rooms are...fabulous. We were immediately shocked at the size, the elegance and comfort. If you are heading to globe, plan it around the availability of staying at the noftsger hill inn.
Thank you, thank you for your praises! It was delightful having you. Thanks too for exploring our "neck of the woods". Wishing you all the best, Rosalie
My family wanted to do a weekend getaway that wasn't too far, and this old schoolhouse was only an hour away. The drive up is spectacular and the people in town were friendly. The Noftger Hill Inn was very well-preserved, clean, and cozy. The rooms were spacious and well-decorated and the innkeeper Rosalie was very warm and friendly. That woman can throw down too...the breakfast was excellent! We brought our 7 year old daughter for her birthday and Rosalie even got her a gift and put a "Happy Birthday" banner on the door, which I wasn't expecting. This schoolhouse definitely transports you back in time; usually when you find a B&B that was built in the early 1900's it's been redecorated and updated so much that it loses it's charm but Rosalie and Dom really haven't changed anything. I would definitely recommend it. I plan on going back this summer, it's worth it!
Thanks for sharing your comments, and by the way, the birthday surprise was as much fun for me as the BD girl! Looking forward to seeing you again in the near future! Rosalie
This is a very special Inn. The building is an early 1900's School with furnishings that fit well with that era. I would rate this along with the top B&B's around the world. Our room for the night was an entire classroom complete with a blackboard for leaving messages for future guests. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was perfect. Rosalie was very helpful in finding local attractions and restaurants.
Thank you for your kind words. I am so honored. Rating us with the top B&B's in the world is the ultimate compliment! I'm pleased that you found my suggestions helpful for things to see and do in the area. I like for guests to experience our community spirit! Take care. Rosalie
Early 20th century school turned Inn. Unique place to stay. Well appointed, friendly Inn on a quiet hilltop overlooking Globe. The rooms are huge and filled with interesting stuff. The old slate chalkboard from schoolhouse days was still in the bedroom filled with messages from guests, mine now included. Clean and comfortable with a huge sitting area in the large classrooms turned bedrooms. Sit in the breakfast room while Rosalie prepares breakfast. She's a great cook and one-woman tourist information center. Full hot breakfast with fresh fruit and something interesting she's baked. We met a group of women at breakfast the second morning who visit the Inn at least once a year using it as their base camp for day trips to hike the countless indian ruins in the area. The folks we met at breakfast were all friendly and interesting. We may wander back to or through Globe just to stay with Rosalie again. "Location" doesn't get my highest mark just because Globe, Arizona isn't for everyone.
Thank you for being adventurous and finding us! The rooms are a joy to renovate and so fun to show first time guests. So happy you enjoyed breakfast and my "See AZ" sales pitch! Take care. Rosalie
This school, built in 1907, is very similar to the old school I attended as a child. The rooms are huge, but cozy. They are restored and decorated with antiques, but have all the comforts of home. The memorabilia adds many surprising and fun tidbits of school and Globe history. Rosalie is friendly, welcoming, and a great cook. I cannot imagine anyone not enjoying this Bed and Breakfast.
Thank you for your kind words. Your review is much appreciated! The school's memorabilia has proven to be quite popular with guests and somewhat entertaining for former students. Former Governor Rose Mofford's contributions are a welcome addition also, considering she attended grade school here. All the best. Rosalie
