Reviewed August 3, 2010

This hotel is brand new and very clean and comfortable. Very reasonable rates and friendly courteous staff. Flat screen television, nice pool, great location just off the 101 loop. No complaints at all. Highly recommended if you are in the Glendale area. Located across the road from the Phoenix coyotes and Arizona cardinels stadiums.

This was a very nice hotel. Great location with a very nice and comfortable room. The only problem was the interent was horrible. If that is not an issue for you, then this is a fantastic place to stay. We had a large corner room with 2 queen beds. Quiet until the last day when a group of families travelling with their kids decided it was ok for the kids to play in the hallways unattended and they kept slamming the stairway door across from our room and screaming.

Breakfast was very nice. This was one of the first hotels we have stayed at where we did not have issues getting a table! They had plenty of tables and food! The food was also very good.

The pool was very nice, but a bit on the cold side. It is shared with the Staybridge suites next door. The pool is actually in between the two hotels. It has a small waterfall and also "sprayers" that squirt into the end of the pool.

Everything was nice and clean and all of the flowers were in bloom-very pretty.

All in all a great stay except that we use the internet A LOT!

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. It's clean and the beds were comfortable. I am staying there again this weekend. It's in a good area if that is the side of town you want to be on.

Booked here to be close to a Coyotes hockey game. Easy to find. Our room faced a vast field, no traffic noise. Walking distance to the Arena. Cabela's and a Cracker Barrel Restaurant are across a street. It was late when we arrived, so convenient to get supper without any fuss. Room spacious even with 4 of us and clean. Appreciated the extra seating in the room. Breakfast area was bright, the food was what you would expect at this Hotel, so no complaints there. Front desk was helpful, we had to arrange for some taxis on Sunday morning and they took care of everything for us very smoothly. The only thing we thought wasn't well thought out was the elevator lobby on the upper floors. It was too small for more that 2 people to stand and wait, you have to leave room for those exiting the elevator and so most times we were standing out in the hall around the corner. With luggage - even tighter. That's a bit annoying in a hotel where luggage should be expected...
If you've forgotten things, there is a Target just a short drive north. The area around the arena is full of restaurants and shops. We tried the Margaritaville restaurant and spent some time strolling around. Very lively place, even on a weeknight. There are hotels closer to the Arena but this one had the best rates when we were booking.

I stayed in this hotel for business for three nights. I had just come from a Hampton Inn in the Tempe area. I was expecting this hotel to actually be a little nicer considering it was more expensive and was newly built, however it was not.

The hotel is right across from the Arizona Cardinals dome, right next to Cabela's and about a two minutes drive to a nice area with many restaurants and shops.

The lobby of the hotel was nice, half of the lobby though was the breakfast area. The staff were friendly and the check in was quick.

The room was the very first room on the first floor. Not bad considering it was a short walk to breakfast, the pool and business & fitness center. The room was an average size room with two beds. Very nice decor with flat screen TV &coffee maker. The bathroom was large, however the vanity was located in the bathroom which makes it difficult to get ready in the morning with more than one person, especially when rooming with a business partner. To top it off the room had no mirror besides what was in the bathroom. The air conditioner in this room was the loudest air conditioner I ever heard. When it was on, it blew so hard that you froze to death and when it was off it got hot very quick. The room had a view of the pool which was nice. However the window sill had a dirty sock that remained from the last guests...quite gross. With having a room on the first floor near the amenities came lots of noise, along with having the window open next to the pool when there were children playing. If noise bothers you, ask for a room on another floor away from the pool and amenities.

The pool was a pretty large pool, however it should be considering it shares itself with the large hotel that is next to it that the Holiday Inn owns.

The breakfast was OK. The same breakfast you are seeing at all chains like this (i.e. few hot items, pastries, cereal, bread, fruit, juice and coffee).

Parking was plentiful and free.
Check out was quick.
If I was staying in the Phoenix area I would stay at my first hotel in Tempe and drive the extra miles to the Glendale area. This was an OK hotel but it surely was nothing special and would never pay out of pocket for it.
