Having lived in Germany some years ago, and visited since, I expected German food that I remember loving in that country. However, I was very disappointed in Haus Murphy's. My favorite dish is Sauerbraten, but this one fell short . The meat, although generous in amount was dry and tasteless. The sauce tasted artificial, the dumplings were also lacking flavor and had a strange texture even though the waiter said they were potato dumplings. My husband ordered veal schnitzel and said it was okay. It was again a generous piece of meat served on a platter with nothing but fried potatoes. Very unappetizing looking . The soup which comes with the meal, was very good and the atmosphere is very German. However I would not go back.
