“not a big candy factory to tour”
Reviewed January 15, 2013 via mobile

Went expecting a tour through a big candy factory and it is a small building that you stand behind a counte and look out at people working. Cant see a whole bunch. Can see them at a distace puting chocolate into molds or drizzling chocolate over items but really dont get to see how they do the products start to finish. We went there thinking it was going to be a few hours of time there and reality it was a few minutes.

“Interesting Tour and Great Fun!”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

Take the 30 minute tour, and get some insight on how a candy company runs. We saw most of the action from behind a wall, but did get to go out on the floor and see one of the lines - in our case, they were making white chocolate covered pretzels.

During the tour, we sampled chocolate covered pretzels and candy coated marshmallows.
The tour is free, but honestly, you need to buy the $10 VIP tour tickey which includes making the chocolate pizza. After the tour, they give you a "pizza" tin half full of warm milk chocolate, and assorted toppings (marshmallows, mints, m&ms, pretzels, etc.). You can mix and match toppings, and they give you a bottle of warm white chocolate to top it with.

The kids were smart with their white chocolate, as they easily doubled the size of their pizza! Apparently, we had thin crust, and the kids made Chicago deep dish! The chocolate is quite good!

They give you a free sample of 3 other items (we got caramel, chocolate and taffy), and you also can take a free sample of any individual chocolate they have for sale. The VIP ticket also had another coupon for a free candy bar (the turtle bars). YUM!

Tours run daily at 10am and 1pm

Friendly staff, and great eats - you can't go wrong!

“Not much to see here”
Reviewed August 17, 2012

This is a very small 'factory'. We went for the self-guided tour at midday on a Saturday. None of the machines were running, and it appeared there were only a few stations to see anyway. Might have been a little more interesting if everything was running, but otherwise I wouldn't go out of my way to stop there.

“Educational and Delicious~A Must Do!!!!”
Reviewed August 17, 2012 via mobile

While on vacation~we we're looking for something that we could do in a morning and our kids (age 9, 7 and 3) would enjoy. The Cerreta Candy Tour filled both of those requirements. Tour times are 10, 11:30, 1, 2:30. It was $5/person for chocolate tasting tour and $10/VIP Tour (you get to make a chocolate pizza). We opted for the chocolate tasting tour. Our tour guide Trish was AWESOME!!!! She was outgoing, friendly, gave tons of fact~made it all extremely interesting. My kids were hooked!!! Thank you Trish!!!!! The candy is delicious and you get several yummy samples to try. And you get to see a 500lb solid chocolate Santa Claus~where else can you see that up close and personal??? When you're in the area, make sure you check this place out.
