“Not much to see here”
Reviewed August 17, 2012

This is a very small 'factory'. We went for the self-guided tour at midday on a Saturday. None of the machines were running, and it appeared there were only a few stations to see anyway. Might have been a little more interesting if everything was running, but otherwise I wouldn't go out of my way to stop there.

“Educational and Delicious~A Must Do!!!!”
Reviewed August 17, 2012 via mobile

While on vacation~we we're looking for something that we could do in a morning and our kids (age 9, 7 and 3) would enjoy. The Cerreta Candy Tour filled both of those requirements. Tour times are 10, 11:30, 1, 2:30. It was $5/person for chocolate tasting tour and $10/VIP Tour (you get to make a chocolate pizza). We opted for the chocolate tasting tour. Our tour guide Trish was AWESOME!!!! She was outgoing, friendly, gave tons of fact~made it all extremely interesting. My kids were hooked!!! Thank you Trish!!!!! The candy is delicious and you get several yummy samples to try. And you get to see a 500lb solid chocolate Santa Claus~where else can you see that up close and personal??? When you're in the area, make sure you check this place out.

The tour of the factory was entertaining. They have a wonderful "Make a Candy Pizza" tour for kids for $10.00.

“A Sweet Stop in the Desert”
Reviewed May 18, 2012

Heard about this family owned candy company in Glendale and they said it was fun for kids. It was about a 1/2 hour easy drive from where we were staying in Scottsdale to visit. So glad we did!

Cerrata's has been family owned since their inception in 1968. They had a great store with all their chocolates and caramels as well as other sweet treats. The tours are FREE - yes, you read that right and the tour guides are super friendly and fun.

The tour walks you through the history of the Cerrata family and then you go to see the workers working on one of the lines. They hand out samples and in our case, the kids got to make "bacon & eggs" - pretzel sticks with white chocolate & some yellow candies to look like yolks.

Can't say enough how friendly everyone here and definitely kid friendly but trust me, this tour will appeal to everyone who has a sweet tooth!
