This is the most accessible petroglyph site I have ever been to. The site is in impeccable condition considering it's more than 300 years in the Arizona sun! The petroglyphs are easily viewed and the site is well cared for. Price is $2 on the honor system and I noted visitors taking care to be conscious of the environment.
If you read the information on the entrance you will note that going to the left is for anyone that does not want to see the entire site. Going right is referred to as the hiking trail that goes around the entire area. So...go left to see the petroglyph mound only.
Here is a cool link that gives a lot of interesting history about the area and has great pictures.
The only downfall is that it is remote and there are no businesses out in the middle of the desert. Do bring your picnick basket and watch out for snakes.
