We stopped overnight in Gila Bend en route from San Diego to Apache Jct.. Our choice of the Yucca was strictly random as there are several motels to choose from. I guess the Yucca didn't look to be that busy with the time being 10pm.
We were travelling with our little dog and in spite of the sign which proclaimed "no pets", the owner let us stay anyhow. The room was clean and the motel as a whole looked nice and rather inviting. All of the motels in Gila Bend suffer from being located along a busy highway as well as RR tracks. There was quite a bit of truck traffic all night long but I found that if we kept the bathroom door closed it helped somewhat. My only complaint, and it's not limited to the Yucca , was that the beds were quite hard. Over the course of our month long trip I had developed a bit of a stiff neck from various hotel beds and was becoming quite sensitive. All things considered we would stay here again.
