What Can I say!! This was an AMAZING adventure. Twisting roads, need for speed, roads as big as a sidewalk, cliffs that would make me clutch my pearls and a tour guide Ryan who was amazing. Knowledgeable, Fun, made this the best Birthday gift for my husband. It started with Michelle who was very friendly and made sure to keep communication open. You DEFINITELY have to try this adventure. Would definitely try the 9am tour in hotter months the temp was not bad!

My sisters and I traveled to Phoenix for a long weekend. One of my sisters had planned a surprise adventure for the 5 of us! We drove to Fountain Hills to Desert Dog Adventures. She had organized a desert sunset tour! Our guide, Kevin loaded us into a Hummer and we were off. Enroute we were able to stop on the side of the highway to admire the wild horses in the mountains! The tour started at Butcher Jones Beach. While we were out enjoying the mountain views, Kevin was busy making preparations for our ride up the mountain. A wine and cheese party was ready for us in the back of the hummer! We were off! Kevin is extremely knowledgeable about the area, landscape, all variety of cacti and history of the area. It is rugged terrain but the views are so worth it! Just before sunset, he found a great place to watch the sun go down. He set up lawn chairs for us and we able to enjoy the view and get some amazing pictures! A very worthwhile adventure!!

Excellent sunset dune buggy tour today with Ryan as our guide! More technical than expected but with Ryan’s direction we each navigated with confidence! Loved the climbing and traversing the creeks through the water! Look forward to doing this again!

Happened to have an afternoon off in Phoenix during a business trip. A group of us came upon Desert Dog and decided to book a tour with the dune buggies. Jay the owner was very friendly and accommodating of our last minute group. We had a great 2 hour sunset tour thru the desert with great guides. I highly recommend this adventure. Super fun!

Jay was helpful in booking and was attentive to our needs. The drive was great and it was BEAUTIFUL out there with all the different types of terrain - beautiful views of the mountains/desert. Dune buggy was super fun to drive and the balance between paying attention to driving and sightseeing was perfect. I would recommend this to anyone and will do it again when we come back.

First time doing this sort of excursion. In a nutshell I would do it again.

Registration
Three couples registered on the internet. It was fast and easy. Received confirmation via email and we were all set.

*Tip: confirm meeting point. The address on the confirmation is not where we met. Luckily we called ahead.

Getting there
One of our friends called ahead to confirm location and to see if we could get a taxi/Uber. We ended up renting a car for the six of us. It was a 40 min drive from Old town Scottsdale. Rome2Rio was telling us it was a $30-50 Uber ride or $80-100 cab ride one way.

Excursion
Ryan was out tour guide. He had all the dune buggy’s ready to go. Ryan orientated us with the dune buggy’s and gave us tips that we would use during our excursion.

It took a little bit to get used to the dune buggy but once I did I could just focus on enjoying the scenery and trails. Some of the trails were a bit technical (this is where Ryan’s) pre-excursion instructions helped.

Ryan lead us through the trails, while keeping an eye out to make sure we were all enjoying ourselves and no one was falling behind.

*Tip: We all wore closed toe shoes. You will get dusty and dirty. You may also get muddy from puddles. An extra change of clothes may be a good idea.

Overall, we had a great experience and would go again.
