Reviewed September 30, 2006

Three of us stayed here during my husbands elk season hunt. We stayed from a Thurs to a Sunday. I wasnt sure what to expect since I couldnt find anything on the internet about it so I was pleasantly surprised when we got there and saw how cute they were. There are only 8 cabins and each one has its own theme. We stayed in the Ponderosa which is Cabin #4. It has two bedrooms upstairs in a loft like area (doors seperate the rooms) and a spiral iron staircase leads from the lower half of the cabin to the upper area. Downstairs was a nice woodburning stove (that we never got to use) a couch, tv with Dish Network service in the livingroom. Off of the living room was a bathroom which I felt was nice sized, and then a kitchen. The kitchen has a microwave, a full size stove and oven, and a full side by side fridge. There is a four cup coffee making also there. They supplied some papertowels for us, a few coffee filters, and dish rag and towels. They also provided some bath bar soap, lotion, shampoo and towels and washclothes. Outside the cabins is a nice grassy area where all the older kids played football while we were there. I think that three families of kids were playing together which was fun to watch. Right next the cabin area is the Sitgraves Nat'l forest which was nice to go walking around on the path ways. The wall heater in the cabin worked great and kept the chill off in the mornings so that was nice. The hot water in the bathroom and kitchen is really really hot and nice to shower in.

We will be back again and again. The only downfall from the whole experience was that it is close to the Hwy 260 but actually once night time hits that road gets quiet. It didnt bother me at all. Also, we were able to bring out two min pins with us and they had a blast running around and playing outside. Pets are allowed here at a charge per pet. There is a small store outside the cabin area that you can easily walk to and get snacks or whatever else you might have forgotten.
