I have never been to this park before and wanted at least once, it was nice we didn’t see a lot of the stores in the historical area since we were there the 1st of January. I’d like one more time to see the stores and really look.

If you take a moment to fill out a survey they will give you a 1 day park pass which made it worth it. Other than that, pretty basic info on the area and very helpful staff.

This historical building once served as a sheriff’s office, jail, courtroom and hospital.
Today it is a tourist information location for the town of Florence.
The docent gave a us a tour through each room and told us about interesting historical events and characters including a gunfight between a town sheriff and deputy.
She told us about up-coming town events that were interesting and made is want to return.
This is a must stop when visiting here.

Like the title says, don't expect a park. It's just a historical building that used to be a courthouse and a hospital years ago. I did learn a lot about Governor McFarland. The staff was great. It's also a visitor center and they have information on nearly everything to do in Arizona. I picked up a LOT of brochures and maps.
