I ordered 2 tacos to go at 7PM on Saturday night July 26, 2014. I live in Eloy and this was my first time at 'Encore'. I was excited when I saw there were only a dozen or so items on the big board menu and became more excited when my 2 tacos came individually wrapped in plain white butcher paper and were placed in a brown paper lunch sack. I just knew this was going to be great! Waaawaawaa! I had to ask for taco sauce and the cashier told me she would check with the cook to see if they had any! The taco shells were hot and freshly fried but were very pliable and not crunchy at all and they had an overwhelming taste of old vegetable oil which took over everything. There was very little ground beef in the taco. The tacos come with thick slices of iceberg lettuce, large dice cuts of fresh tomatoes and literally about 15 individual pieces of finely shredded white and orange cheese. If I hadn't used my interior overhead car light, I wouldn't have guessed there was any cheese in them at all. The homemade taco sauce was nice and cold and very tasty and it was the best thing in the bag. The price of 2 tacos was just over $3.50. The wait time was about 5 minutes. After 2 bites, I drove back home hungry. I dumped the taco shells in my kitchen garbage can and mixed the innards of the tacos into my 2 big pup's food bowls. I checked the bowls just now and the stuff is still in there! Good grief, my 2 big gals will eat just about anything, (111 lb Rottie & 82 lb shepherd mix)! I give reviews for just about every place I eat and I'm very honest. Most of my reviews are really good because most places serve good food. I honestly hate giving a bad review but it is what it is in this case.
