“A fun day . . .”
Reviewed September 21, 2009

The wine was good, the appearance needs some adjustments. The drive down shouldn't be missed, beautiful country!!! Yes, the place was rustic (maybe a little on the dumpy side), but what the heck, went only for the trip and didn't know the place existed. The help was ok, not good, not bad, but once we were assisted the lady at the counter was friendly and helpful. Keep in mind that their No. 1 selling wine is the No. 1 rated Arizona selling wine, "Tombstone." It was a fun roadtrip!

We braved the outside appearance...we shouldn't have bothered. We paid for the full 4 tastings, but left after 3 samples that were more "Boone's Farm" than fine wine. Their "winery within a junkyard" concept is certainly unique, but does a disservice to several very good wineries in the area.

“Good wine, HORRIBLE customer service”
Reviewed February 19, 2009

Unlike the other reviews, I really do like the wine but every time we go to buy a box, getting service is like pulling teeth. There may only be 2 other customers in there and you will never get a "hello, I will be with you in a moment." You will be left standing there for 10 minutes and they will not make eye contact with you even though there is down-time for them after they have poured someone a sample. You have to eventually ask for help. I was in last weekend and we packaged our own wine and stood there waving a debit card for 10 min. The lady wasn't even working at that moment...just ignoring us and staring at the customers who were sampling wine and talking amongst themselves. No thank you was given to us either. We were completely ignored. It seems as if we were nothing but a burden to this woman.

I don't get it. What happened to the basics of a greeting, asking if you need assistance and a simple thank you after spending $125? I've had better service from 16 year old kids at McDonalds. Maybe they should get some training in customer service.

If service was better I would give this place a 5. Service was good a couple of years ago (young gal and guy) but has really gone down hill. They were also out of the Karina and Tombstone Rain. When asked when it would be back in-stock, all she would do was shrug and comment on how expensive it was to fix the bottling machine. This is something she needs to find out so customers don't waste an hour car ride down.

I can handle the crappy building as long as the wine is good, which I believe it is. Since this was the 4th trip with rotten customer service, it will be our last. We will try another winery instead.

“Worst winery in Elgin”
Reviewed November 17, 2008

We weren't sure if we wanted to stop as the place looked fairly dumpy. The winery itself smelled a little like mold as we entered. We were told that we could only have 4 tastes as that is Arizona Law. After only 2 tastes, we were finished. The worst wine we have ever had. After reading the bottle, I'm not even sure if it was from Arizona.
