“Very nice small museum of Native American arts”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 26, 2013

Amerind is a very nice small museum of Native American artifacts and arts: pottery, fabric weaving, basket making, and more. Plus: a separate building contains paintings of southwest subjects.

Small museums offer much to the viewer: a set of exhibits that can be viewed/studied in a few hours, and many take-aways in understandings of people, culture, and arts. Amerind does exactly this - and is well-worth the detour.

we learned about the museum from the bartender at the saloon at the Triangle T Ranch. never knew the place existed. it was much better than a lot of southern arizona tourist stops.

Wonderful collection of Native American artifacts & art. Spent several hours viewing all the displays. Nice picnic area with beautiful views of the area.
This was our second time there and we enjoyed it more than the first time because after living in the area for several years, we have a better understanding of the history here.

“An out of the way gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 24, 2013

This is a must see attraction. Even though it is a lone way out from the city, don't let the distance fool you. The artifacts reflect a long passion for native cultures and are tastefully displayed. The art museum next door displays a great deal of talent. Don't miss this location. Don't forget to visit the graveyard of the way to the museum.
