A trip to ride the Verde Canyon Railroad, led us to stop here for a couple of nights. With a trip to Texas on the horizon, we were looking to save a few dollars. I read a few reviews on this Super 8 and picked it. It's not much different from a Motel 6, save the towels are a little bit thicker and it seemed to be cleaner. The bed was suprisingly comfortable , the first thing we noticed when walking in was it was 'swayback' so to speak. The TV was an outdated analog tv (these should all be gone by now) with a remote that would not sync with the channel selection and the color was not adjustable and set to cave mode, in other words too dark to see properly. It did , however have a small fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker. The bathroom needed a new shower curtain and something I learned from 'Hotel Impossible'....i checked around the ledge in the shower and found it coated with dust. The room in all fairness was pretty clean except for that. The continental breakfast was ok. Cereals, oatmeal, bananas, Do it Yourself waffles, juices, coffee , toast and yogurt. I could not connect to their WiFi for a full day, and then all of a sudden it worked. I would stay again. It was not all that bad and the AARP discount made it even more reasonable.
