“OUR STAY IN PINES MOTEL, AZ.”
Reviewed July 21, 2012

We boooked 2 rooms (July 4- July 8, 2012). Had traveled from P.R. to Okla, to Tex, to N. Mex. and to Az. Rooms were clean with pleasant smell. Service was friendly and enjoyable. Very close to shopping centers and restaurants. Quiet place.Green premises. Air Condition worked very well. Would our 2 families stay again in this place? Absolutely yes!
Me and my wife have travalled to several states in the U.S., Central and South America, and The Caribbean Islands. We know first hand what is a good hotel. Specially if it has kitchenette. Pines Motel is one of the best we have ever stayed. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Book several months in advance. Higher floors have les a/c noise.

Hard to find any reason to bad mouth this place. Staff friendly. Our room was clean and plenty of room. We had a kitchenette for $69 on a Thursday night. The other guests were a bit noisy at first but things settled down after awhile. Beds weren't hard as a brick slab. Comfy chair and ottoman.
Nice flat screen TV

Very disappointed in this hotel. No elavator, out of Ice, door to the room would not shut!! Only the deadbolt kept it closed! The bed was at a slant. The only person working there was working at about a 10% capacity. I don't understabd the great reviews. This hotel was terrible!

Room Tip: Very disappointed in this hotel. No elavator, out of Ice, door to the room would not shut!! Only the...

Hello Linda - Thank you for taking the time to write a review! This is the first time we've heard of a slanted bed! Since these matresses are under 1 year old, it's hard to imagine there to be a problem - most folks love our beds! The latch on the door has been repaired and please let us know about ice! Since most people empty out the ice machine in their coolers in the morning, we keep extra bagged ice in the lobby! We also pride ourselves on how clean our rooms are! We're always glad to hear!

I'm the other "nana" from Traci C's review. We thoroughly loved our stay at Pines and would recommend it to anyone wanting to travel to the area. You are centrally located to enjoy so many places in the area. Our kitchenette was fully stocked with everything we needed to save some $$ on eating, including a full fridge with room for all our food and drinks. Right down to the incredible bed linens, the room was super clean and comfortable. The kids loved the pool and riding their bikes in the parking lot. We cooked our "catch of the day" trout the kids had caught at the fish farm in the covered bbq area. Definitely a must stay place!

We booked two rooms (2 queens w/ kitchenette and king room) for our "Nana & Papa Weekend" (2 sets of grandparents and 2 grandkids). This was our home base for side trips to Sedona for fishing, Cottonwood for kayaking and Jerome for site seeing. Rooms were super clean and I am super picky! We fished at the trout farm in Sedona and then brought the fish back to grill in the BBQ area for dinner one night. Kids enjoyed the pool and the two super friendly labs that also call the property their home. We frequently head north to escape the Phoenix heat and this will be our new "Go-To" place. So convenient to so much! I could go on and on...bottom line...best little motel EVER!

We booked two rooms for one night here and were pleasantly surprised. I loved the kitchenette which made food prep for our large family so convenient. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Great place to stay!

This has got to be the most comfortable, clean and affordable place we’ve ever stayed! The mini-suite had a full-size kitchen, small dining table, pantry, pots, pans, dishes, etc., a huge bathroom with a double sink, separate bedroom with a queen bed, a gigantic closet, a queen Murphy bed in the living room and a queen sofa-bed! There was plenty of room for five adults and lots of room in the bathroom for us gals to apply makeup and fix our hair! The apartment is super clean and we loved being able to relax in the morning, have coffee and make breakfast before heading out for the day. Other amenties included free wi-fi and free parking. The Pines Motel is the perfect “home base” and we have decided this is our spot from now on when we meet “halfway” (our cousins are from Henderson, NV and we live in Albuquerque). There is so much to do in the area and the Pines Motel is the perfect location at an affordable price. I would expect to pay twice the rate for this type of property in larger cities (but don’t tell!). The apartment unit (Room 101) is absolutely what you need when traveling with other adults or children. The property is pet-friendly as well which is nice. Did I say it is CLEAN??? Kudos to the Pines Motel – you WILL see us again! PS – check out my other reviews of the Chapel of the Holy Cross near Sedona and the Blazin’ M Chuck Wagon Dinner Show near Cottonwood (which was more fun than a barrel of monkeys – for all ages!)

Room Tip: Apartment Suite has 3 queen beds, full kitchen and HUGE bathroom! Great for families
