What a surprise ! Luxury in Old Town Cottonwood. Room was amazing. Package included coupons for dinner at Nic's , (Great food ) cocktails, breakfast and wine tasting . Great service in all locations.
We will do this again!

Room Tip: Small Inn, we were in the back, everyone quiet and friendly was our experience .

Having never been to Cottonwood, we had no idea what to expect when we got there, but we were wowed from the start. First off, I always wondered why the "front desk" was only open from 11A-9P - come to find out, that the front desk was the Tavern Grille next door and those are the operating hours over there! It's crazy smart! We stayed 3 nights, which included the 2 night sip and stay package. What a great value - we had continental breakfast every day (at either of 2 restaurants across the street), 2 welcome drinks, $50 gift card for Nic's (also across the street) and 2 wine tastings at 2 cellars right down the street. That is like getting one night free, people! The hotel only has 10 rooms and ours was spacious and immaculate. The paint colors, bathroom tile and décor is wonderful. The bed was really comfortable, towels fluffy and plentiful. The porch, which is in front of the building in the parking lot, is completed with outdoor seating and tables and is far enough off the street that it was great for people watching or just enjoying a fine cigar.... My only recommendation is that they should put a curtain on the window that can actually be closed vs just decorative to keep the morning light out (there are blinds) and there was the temperature light on the A/C unit that was shining like a beacon when you were trying to sleep (Really nit-picking here!) In the main hallway there are pictures and the history of the building - you should really check it out! The location of the Tavern Hotel is awesome - you can be in Sedona in 20 minutes (shorter commute than I have to work!) and Jerome is just around the corner. Everything you need is within walking distance - lots of restaurants, bars and shops, however, you may want to note the open and closing times... We even walked over to a Farmer's Market and had a great time - I will say, the people of Cottonwood are so friendly and so nice, it really made this trip spectacular! Loved that it was 2 hours door to door - we will be back!

Return visit to the Tavern and it was terrific, stayed 2 nights on their wine package which included dinner card at Nic's restaurant across the street (great food!), wine tastings at cool tasting rooms right down the street, and a comp drink when we checked in (front desk is the Tavern Grille...very cool). Melissa greeted us when we checked in and filled us in on new stuff including their new pizzeria down the street where we ate the second night. Pizzeria Bocce is awesome!

Highly recommend the hotel for really nice staff, convenience to all the wineries and dining, plus we really like the piles of pillows and stone

Room Tip: all the rooms are good - really small hotel very well kept

We decided at spur of moment to take a quick trip from Scottsdale... The room was great and we got the package with coupons for eats, drinks and wine tasting... Well worth the price. Kudos to Cottonwood for working on rejuvenating the old town... quaint antique malls, shops and wine tasting (with music) to spend a relaxing day. Everyone was so friendly.

Exceeded our expectations. We were welcomed and treated as special guests at the hotel. The rooms are beautifully spacious and beautifully decorated. Arriving back at the Tavern Restaurant for desert after our wine train excursion at 9:20 (unaware the restaurant closes at 9 pm) we were welcomed, seated and served desert allowing us to enjoy a leisurely desert. What an unexpected experience. Way over and beyond what was necessary. They could have politely told us that they were closed. Breakfast the next morning at the Red Rooster was also a memorable occasion. So happy, for sure we will be returning ❤

This boutique hotel is just wonderful. There are only 10 rooms, and I presume each is as nice as ours was. It was very quiet, so that was nice. We stayed there just one night, but will definitely go back, as we live just two hours away. In fact, we'll probably make it an annual event. I've read other reviews and won't go on any more with mine, but just read the rest of them and you'll be calling for a reservation.

Room Tip: Since there are only 10 rooms it doesn't matter which one you have. And they'e all on the f...

We wanted to visit the Montezuma Castle and Tuzigoot pueblo sites in this area, en route from Monument Valley to the Hoover Dam. Our Californian daughter-in-law suggested the Tavern Hotel in Cottonwood as a stopover point. It is a little stunner of a hotel, expensively and tastefully equipped but without the prices to match - a real gem. The people who run it and its companion Tavern Grille (where we enjoyed a super meal) are friendly and helpful. Our early breakfast in the courtyard at the Cafe Crema was also delightful, Cottonwood has cleverly reinvented itself without losing its old-town Arizona character. We would love to go back.
