Our three grandchildren, ages 17, 14 and 9, came to visit us from Massachusetts during their school vacation and for their last evening here, we took them to the Blazin' M Ranch to celebrate. We have visited before and were impressed with the professionalism that the staff and performers provide. The kids loved seeing the boardwalk and stores where they were able to make a few purchases at a reasonable price before we went in to dinner. We took the wagon ride with the '46 John Deere tractor and afterwards took a walk out to see the animals again. It was a cold evening, so the doors were opened early and the children warmed up with hot cocoa. The time flew by and we were served the delicious dinner - the biscuits are one of my favorites- and the chicken and ribs were moist and delicious. Otis' special sauce was on the table and we enjoyed that as an extra on the ribs. Also, the prickly pear cole slaw had us going back for seconds as the staff came around to pass out the extras. The apple crisp ala mode topped the dinner and then the show began. The music was excellent, and the kids loved Otis' story of Endercella - even the 9 year old who took a minute to catch on to what he was saying! We were snapping our fingers and clapping our hands to the music - loved it all - especially Otis' rendition of Tennessee Ernie Ford's "16 Tons". The topper was Ghost Riders with the ghost rider flashing by the window. Our youngest said, "Oh, I'm scared" but then wanted to go out and see the ghost rider to take his picture. The Blazin' M Dinner and Show gave us a memorable evening.
