“Hidden Gem 10 miles outside of Sedona”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

We just had our first UTC experience. Although the entire area was populated by 5000 bikers in town for Thunder Rally, we arrived at our reserved time and were seated within minutes. The owners said that 300 motorcyclists had just been there. Looking around it was obvious the staff took that in stride - all was calm.

Driving by, the place looks plain butr walk inside and take a trip into history. Originally started as a sandwich shop by Jim Page (Page Springs), the owners bought it several years ago and lovingly upgraded it to historic coziness. A multisided fireplace, tables along the windows over looking the creek and vintage touches made for a romantic setting.

And lastly, but most importantly, the food is astounding. We have traveled all over the West and rate it one of the top 5 meals. Today, the owner, Greg, offered a hickory smoked salmon with homemade tartar sauce as an appetizer. That would have been all I needed but as we watched other food go by, we continued on. The fish tacos were panko breaded, fried with no trace of grease and abundantly garnished with sauces and fresh cabbage. My husband had the hand made vegetarian burger and the texture and flavor was almost identical to beef. And vegetarians rejoice, there are few choices for you in this part of Arizona. We sampled the fresh made onion rings and garlic fries. All perfect! Everything is made from scratch and never frozen.

The entire staff was welcoming, and couldnt do enough for all of the diners around us! Even serving items not yet on the menu until dinner. The cost of our late lunch was an amazing value. There isnt anything on the menu over $20 for dinners and lunches are well under that.

The owners have a passion for food and it shows. We cant wait to go back. Thank you Greg and Dawn for al lovely lunch along the creek!

And for those with children under 12, all kids meals include ice cream and are $6!

WOW! What a weekend!! Yes, it was a challenge serving so many people all at once, but we thrive on that and the Thunder People were so friendly. We had people lined up outside the door 45 min. before we opened and it never stopped. All day, they just kept coming. What a review and thank you so much for taking the time to detail out so many points about us. Our restaurant and this area has so much to offer and more and more people are hearing about us via word of mouth. We desire to serve some of the best food around , but it's not all just about that. It's the whole dining experience and we think we offer that! Dawn & I love coming to work here and that's a huge reward in itself.

Thank you for mentioning the smoked salmon. We sold 31 appetizers in two days. Everyone was so impressed by it and saying it's one of the best they've ever had. That is what I'm after and I take great pride in creating this dish. I am meticulous about it and it is a 6 hour process that I think I have perfected. The reward is in all the smiles on peoples faces.

Thank you again for joining us and we hope to see you again when you're in town..........Greg

“Great Restaurant”
Reviewed September 14, 2013

This was a great find. Really friendly welcome, excellent food and wine with much better prices than in nearby Sedona. We had great Steaks, Shrimp and the "Better than Brad Pitt Pie". The location is great, we had a window seat overlooking the creek. Although this is a little off the beaten track it is well worth a visit. It's only about 12 miles from Sedona where we were staying for a week and we liked it so much we went back for a second meal. Even the background music was great!! Thank you for making us so welcome.

Bertie,

Thank you! Dawn & I wouldn't be doing this unless we loved it. We love the restaurant, the setting and the limitless opportunities to "Create" with food. It's a world of art and culinary experiences that we are in pursuit of. We have new specials everyday, so we hope you'll join us for something new each time you can visit. The number one thing we love most, is serving wonderful people like you. Everyone is so happy and we just feed off that. Our best to you..............Greg

“Just go here!”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

From the moment we walked in the door we were made to feel like old family friends. We were seated by the window and got a brief intro as to what we might see around the creek. We settled in and opened the menu - everything looked good. We started with the onion rings - after one bite we decided these were the best onion rings we had ever had. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and my partner had the ribs. Really, really good food.

When you are in Sedona, mark your map to go "Up the Creek"! Oh, and, I had to see what all the far fetched, over the top Buttermilk pie reviews were all about. The reviews are neither far fetched or over the top. They are spot on. Just order it, you won't be sorry.

This was one of the most comfortable, enjoyable dining experiences we have had traveling. The people, the food and the atmosphere was wonderful.

Dear New Jersey,

Thank you so much! With most of our proteins: steaks, fish & chicken being fresh, it costs us a little more, but we think it's worth it. We made fresh made pizza two nights ago and I think it's one of the best in the area. We also had a Vodka chicken pasta that one of the chef's made and although not my recipe, it was the best that I've had. We're excited about the limitless creations of food and the whole dining experience; that's what we're about. Thank you for joining us and appreciating our efforts. Hope to see you again on your next trip out..............your hosts..........Greg & Dawn

“Incredible Food!”
Reviewed August 16, 2013

This little place was a total surprise! Friendly but classy, great service and the food.... really, really delicious! I expected the usual pub style food, but this was an elegant menu, excellent prices and tasty. Will not forget this place soon! I'm not a foodie, food is low on my life priority list but this place is a stand-out to catch my attention!

Laurie,

Only a small fraction of our guests actually write reviews. Everyday, we get many people telling us in person how much they've enjoyed their experience here. The food quality with fresh ingredients and service are our top priorities, but only when you take the extra 12 min. to come to Page Springs, will you find one of the most unique dining experiences around. We are so pleased and thankful for your visit. It makes it all so worthwhile. Please join us again when you're in town next, as the new creations and fall menu specials will soon be afoot. There's nothing like fresh food....Thank you kindly..............Greg & Dawn

“Fabulous dinner with a view!!”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

This restaurant has it all!! Great food.... We had the walnut crusted ruby trout on a wonderful bed of sautéed spinach and grilled veggies on the side!! The service was spot on! Our drinks did not go dry and they checked with us a few minutes after we ordered to see how we liked our first bites. We were seated immediately at a table by a window( almost every table is by a plate glass window) overlooking a beautiful view of the creek and woods. There were tiny white lights tastefully lighting the top of the windows! Between all of that and the wonderful music playing softly in the background, the ambience of this restaurant is perfect!! If you are in Sedona don't miss this restaurant and certainly don't judge it by the outside which is plain in comparison to the inside!! Make a reservation.... And enjoy!!

We too think we have one of the best dining experiences (in the State). When you're out West, why not come to a real western dining experience! No one is perfect, but we try hard in all areas to be excellent. Our entire family works here and we want our kids to be proud of their parents. We are truly grateful to those who appreciate and see our efforts. More exciting and unique food experiences to come. Fresh authentic Mexican Shrimp cocktail next week! Please join us again and thank you again for your positive review and joining us.................Greg
